Chapter 18

"Wake up Emily it's just a dream" I heard a voice said.

I open my eyes I was in my bedroom the house wasn't on fire.

I touch Nathan he was here he wasn't dead.

"Calm down babe stop crying" he said wiping the tears from my cheek.

"Where's Ally? Where's Granny?!" I cried

"Ally is outside playing with Daphne your neighbor and Granny is downstairs with Mr and Mrs Grant everything is okay babe" Nathan reassure me he hugs and places a kiss on my head "It's just a nightmare" he said.

I couldn't help but to burst out in tears "You were all dead Jack did it" I cried in his chest as the nightmare keeps flashing back to me.

"It's just a dream we are all okay babe" he said stroking my hair.

The thought of Jack hurting my family makes me cry even more what if it wasn't a nightmare.

I pull away from him and rush out to the balcony I just need to see my baby and make sure she's really here.

I let out the breath I was holding when I saw her on the sand with Daphne making a sand castle she saw me and wave to me Daphne also gave me a wave I smile and wave back.

"See it's just a nightmare" Nathan said from behind me I turn around and hug him tight.

"Am scared" I honestly said.

"Your safe sweetheart I won't let anyone hurt you" he reassures me.

"I think he's looking for me he's going to hurt me" I cried.

Nathan picks me up bridal style and takes me back to my room he sat down and held me in his arm.

He cups my face I hate crying it makes me seem weak and vulnerable and I know am the opposite of that but shits get to me at times.

I look up at him through blurry eyes "You're safe here if you want me to hire a few security-"

I cut him off "No I don't want that remember grandma still doesn't know what's going on if you hire security them things will look suspicious and I would have a lot of explaining to do" I said.

He nodded "I promise I will never let anyone hurt you" he said.

I nodded then bury my face in his chest feeling safe and warm.

"By the way I got someone to hack into the clubs Instagram and google page and remove your photos" he said stroking my hair.

I sigh "Thank you".

"And your Instagram account I think you should deactivate your account and make a new one if you want" he suggested.

I nodded feeling sleepy again.

"Hmmm so freaking delicious who thought you how to cook!" I asked Nathan with my mouth stuff with bake chicken.

Ally giggles at my puffy cheeks while grandma gave me a look "That's so unladylike!" she scolded me

Nathan laughed.

I shrug sucking the sauce off my fingers "Who said I was a lady" I said laughing.

Grandma throws the napkin at me "Nathan I don't know how you cope with her" Granny said shaking her head.

Nathan smirk "Trust me grandma I don't know how I do it she's a headache" Nathan said.

I shot him a glare he laughs.

"So are you two finally together?" Granny asked smiling mischievously.

"Is uncle Nathan mommy's boyfriend?" Ally asked looking between Nathan and me.

My face immediately turned bright tomato red.

Grandma and Ally look at us with a questioning look.

"Yes we are together" Nathan replied blushing as well.

I smile at how cute he looks.

"Are you happy with us?" Nathan asked grandma and Ally.

Grandma laughs "Am more than happy I was wondering when you two will finally get some sense that you both belong together" granny said.

I smile then look at little Ally her eyes lit up as she smiles at us when she asked a question that throws me off guard "Can I call you daddy now?"

"All he's...I-" I shutter didn't know what to even say.

Nathan then reacts differently than I thought he would he smiles and ruffles her hair "Sure you can call me daddy".

Ally giggles happily " Okay daddy".

For some reason am not happy about this I think it feels wrong.

"You know what I think you two should go celebrate tonight!" Grandma said lighting up the tension in the room.

I sigh "Not tonight am really tired"I said Nathan frown I smile "How about tomorrow since it's my birthday?" I suggested.

Grandma gave Nathan a look Nathan smiles then look at me with a smirk "Sounds good" he said.

I think they are up to something.

Even Ally was smiling as she silently eats her food.

Nathan didn't stay with us tonight he said he got a meeting to attend early tomorrow.

I frown as I switch off the night lamp I wanted to wake up with him beside me for my birthday.

I waited for him to call me when he arrives home.

He calls when I was about to sleep.

"Hey sweetheart did I wake you" he asked sounding tired.

I yawn "No you arrive how already?" I asked hugging the pillow.

"Yes am laying in bed now wish you were here" he said I could tell he was wearing that smirk on his face.

I smile "I too am hugging my pillow right now imagine it was you" I said hugging the pillow even tighter as I close my eyes.

He chuckles "Your so adorable I miss you".

I smile " I miss you too babe" I said yawning at the same time.

"Goodnight you seem really sleepy" Nathan said.

"Night, I love you" I said.

"Love you too" he said.

I smile "Hang up now" I said.

"No you hang up" he said.

I glare although he couldn't see "Nathan hang up" I argued.

He chuckles "Here what let's hang up at the same time" he suggested.

I couldn't help but smile "Okay by the count of three" I instructed "One...two...three".

We both hang up at the same time.

I snuggle up in my pillow and drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face.
