while she sits softly reflecting light.
She likes attention,
but she doesn't want to be
the same as everyone else.
So she watches from the side,
looking at them
planning her comeback.
They laugh unsuspectingly
thinking they've gotten the best of her.
When she does rise above them,
they sit dumbfounded and they just watch her.
Deep blue velvet and
cunning nature combined with
knowledge and dependability.
She is like the spike to the punch bowl
the moon over the stars.
She isn't a diamond like everyone else.
