Ch-3

The sun was shining through the sheer curtains as I got up in the morning. I placed on my uniform and went about my daily routines before I started tiptoeing down the stairs.

 

I stopped by the door once I heard a throat clear itself. I nearly died about. I slowly turned to face Reiji. Pest. ‘’Going somewhere?’’ he questioned. As If it wasn’t obvious enough. It really was something to see Reiji Sakamaki so disheveled. It was rugged. Handsome. I blushed and looked down at my feet. I knew I probably had some explaining to do now. ‘’I have two morning classes.’’ I explained shamefully. ‘’So… You’ve been sneaking out have you?’’ he asked walking down the stairs a bit. Why waste my time like this? He could teleport if he wanted to among other things. I hated being toyed with. ‘’You naughty girl.’’ He continued. ‘’You’re just begging to be punished. I’d do it myself, but I’ll save all the fun for my darling brother. ‘’ He sneered the last word, making me clench my jaw in disgust.

 

‘’Go on, precious kit-kat. get to class.’’ He laughed and turned away, leaving me upset and out of focus.

 

Having class during the day was wonderful. I could eat breakfast with other humans, talk about clothes, and food, and normal things. And I didn’t have to look over my shoulder. I had people to talk to, walk to class with. It was very nostalgic. and for a few hours, I could forget that I lived in a world with Vampires and their drama. I greeted the new Professor, Professor Shin as I walked into biochem for the day.

 

“Good morning Miss Sora.’’ he smiled at me.His messy hair flopping in his face. and his mesmerizing eyes scanning me. Taking my seat, I smiled back at him. I couldn’t help but to do so. It was a habit.

The middle of class was underway, until there was a knock at the door. ‘’I-I’m sorry I’m late. I really am. I got lost and stuff.’’ I looked up from my work to the frantic speaker. She looked to the teacher, who directed her to the seat next to mine. I know I’d never seen her before. But her eyes scanned over me curiously as she sat. ‘’I’m Emi.’’ She said as she sat, ‘’Sora. Nice to meet you.’’ I mumbled back. And that was it for our verbal exchange throughout class. But I kept feeling the girl’s eyes on me.

 

For the most part, I ignored it.

‘’Do you live around here?’’ Emi asked as I made my way to home ec. ‘’Uh. sort of kind of.’’ I answered as honestly as I could. this was my last year of school. I could move the hell out of this town… or not. go to college… or not. Or maybe.. Maybe I could find my mom. I didn’t know anymore.’’What about you?’’ I asked her. ‘’Uh. Yeah sort of. Me too.’’ I stared at her for what seemed like forever. But I brushed it off occasionally~

 

I wasn’t in a hurry to get back to the mansion. The sun was out a bit. It felt great on my skin. and the air was still a bit nippy but it was crisp, as if it were going to rain soon.. I could stay out until the afternoon. But then I would probably come back to an even greater consequence.

I wasn’t much into jump scares. So I didn’t understand why the air went so cold again. it was quiet in the house, too quiet. I slowly made my way to my room, and noticed my door was cracked. I felt my stomach sink low inside as I slowly pushed the door open. and Saw the figure sitting on my bed. ‘’Oh, How I’ve been waiting for you.’’
