‘’You should get more rest, That test isn’t going to take itself you know.’’ Emi looked sternly at me and I smiled back. It wasn’t as weird as I thought, Interacting with humans again. I recalled her liking a lot of the same things I did. ‘’Hey,Do you… Want to go and get a smoothie tomorrow? and maybe some donuts, Before class?’’ she asked hesitantly. I looked down and shuffled my feet. ‘’Uh. Sure.’’ I answered with a small smile. It couldn’t hurt any. And It would take my mind off of other things. I saw her bright eyes light up and she smiled. ‘’Sweet! Meet you here tomorrow then?’’

Loosening my bow a little and preparing to take a nap, I found myself in the front of Reiji’s study. his door was fairly cracked, so I knocked on it. ‘’Permission to come in?’’ I asked sheepishly.  It was a while before I heard a small chuckle, then a sigh. ‘’Permission granted.’’ I pushed myself in and closed the door behind me. ‘’Evening,’’ I greeted formally. I sometimes hated to talk to Reiji, He could be so difficult to communicate with most of the time. But I reminded myself that I had to do this. Light red eyes locked on me with mock worry, and he frowned a little. ‘’Laito did that, did he?’’ He asked. It was me that frowned this time. damned eagle eye. I thought to myself. He moved my collar out of the way and examined the probably purpling hand marks. For a second, I felt his arrogance fade. ‘’It’s like you, I couldn’t possibly expect a dhampir to fight back anyhow.’’ It’s back, there it is. I refrained from rolling my eyes, remembering the consequence it’d gotten me last time.

 

‘’Reiji.’’ I asked softly. Causing him to grunt, an act of listening. ‘’What do you know about the founding vampires?’’ I asked boldly. ‘’And how, did you, my little halfling hear about the founding Vampires?’’ he asked.

‘’I hear things, Same way I heard about the Adam and Eve project.’’ I answered defiantly. Reiji’s head snapped up and he frowned in discontent. ‘’I can’t tell you much about them, aside from my father, yes, there are others. They are dangerous. Definitely not something you should go snooping around if you know what’s good for you, do you understand me?’’ I gasped a little. Was he trying to protect me or himself? I wonder.

‘’Sora.’’ He called. ‘’I’m waiting. And you might as well stay quiet if you’re planning to disobey me anyways.’’ He said with a frown. So I stayed quiet and looked down at him. ‘’Uh. you’re going to drag us into something where we have to save your ass. Aren’t you.’’

‘’I don’t know what you mean, I haven’t said anything.’’ Reiji straightened up and pushed his glasses up. ‘’get out, before I spank you.’’ he said teasingly. I sighed. Thanks for all of your help.~

I couldn’t stop myself from texting Yuma, I knew he and Ruki would help me, They had too. Friday, meant investigation day. And saturday, I would confront Laito.
