Chapter 21: Courage Under Fire<3

Alyssa's POV 

Fern stepped out of her room, rubbing her eyes. "What's going on out here?" None of us answered her question. We just stood there in partial shock. "HELLO?!? I feel like I'm talking to a huge wall here!" she exclaimed.

"I don't know." Louis said.

"Me either..." Harry agreed.

Liam was still on the top of the stairs and crying. I couldn't blame him. I would be doing the same, except, maybe a place a bit more... Private?

Fern's POV 

Soon, we were all back to normal. Well, no. Not normal. Olivia was gone. She won't pick up her phone when anyone calls her and she won't text back. Liam was crushed, and I wanted to fix that. I hated seeing him all mopey and not his usual, cheery self. I sat in the kitchen with Alyssa. We were the only two in the house. Aly was shuffling through the cupboards, looking for something to satisfy her hunger.

"Fern, I really think you should tell Liam how you feel." Alyssa said as she eyed a box of cereal in one of the cupboards.

"Why? I doubt he felt the same..." I sighed.

She turned and looked at me, her stare digging deep into my skull. "Don't you ever even think about saying that again." she threatened.

"Okay. I'm sorry I won't!" I promised.

She still was giving me the death stare.

"I swear!!!" I exclaimed as I fell off the back of the stool I had been sitting on. She laughed at me hysterically. I laughed also. "Shut up!" I complained as I stood up. "Aly, where did you go?" I asked since I didn't see her.

"I'm down here!" she said between her laughing. I walked around the island and found her laying on the floor. She looked up at me an started laughing again.

"Oh my word! Shut up!" I complained.

"I'm sorry it was funny though!" Her laughing died down a she stood up. "You are going to tell him right?"

I nodded.

"Good."

"But how?" I asked.

"I'll make sure you two are somewhere alone. Then you can tell him. And then it will all be good! Just be like, 'Liam... I like you and I felt sparks when we hugged.' And he will be all 'OH MY GOD! FERN, YOU ARE THE LOVE OF ME LIFE! I HAVE LOVED YOU SINCE WE BUMPED INTO EACH OTHER. I WAS JUST TO AFRAID TO ADMIT IT TO ANYONE!'" Aly said dramatically.

I laughed, "Yeah, Aly. If you say so."

"I do say so... Therefore, it will happen!" she grinned.

"Can we change the subject now?" I asked.

"No." she replied.

"Why not?!?" I asked.

"Because I am hungry!" she complained. I heard the front door open and close. Liam walked in. "Hey, Liam." Alyssa smiled as he came into the kitchen.

Alyssa's POV 

"Hey." Liam faked a smile.

"I'm going to go... Uh... Yeah. Yah know..." I said as I walked out of the kitchen, hoping Fern would get the clue to tell Liam.

I walked around to the stairs and then went into the dining room, hiding behind the wall so I could listen to their conversation and not be noticed...

Liam's POV 

"So..." I said, walking to the cupboard, getting a glass.
