"Oh, Riley." Bellatrix . Sirius whipped around and frowned he looked at her then me then her then back at me. "One second." I said to the four boys. I walked stiffly over to the sneering Slytherin. "I see you've made yourself cozy." she said. "What do you want?" I asked
"We had a deal." She pointed out.
"I don't need you anymore." I snapped.
Bellatrix's sneer turned into a frown. "Excuse me?"
"You never intended on being my friend. You were using me because you saw me as a weak, desperate, little girl that just wanted friends. Well now I have... friends." I said, glancing back at my friends. "They're not your real friends.Their just using you too." Bellatrix responded. "Liar." I told her.
She glared daggers at me, "I will ruin you Summons, ruin you!" and with that, she whisked off to her posse. I walked back to James, Peter, Sirius, and Remus. "Sorry about that." I said.
"What did she want?" Sirius questioned.
"Nothing." I answered. "She was just warning me about you." It wasn't a complete lie, but it wasn't the complete truth. We all walked back to the castle in a group when I remembered something. I pulled the mysterious paper that I had found the night that I had saw Remus as a werewolf. I still shudder at that thought and I always felt guilty when I did. "I found this, I think it belongs to you." I handed James the paper.
"Well, now you know." Sirius exclaimed loudly.
"What?"
"You know we're the Marauders." Remus said.
"You guys? The Marauders? The Marauders are far too smart and..." My voice trailed off, "Prove it."
"We made the map." Peter said. He took the map and put his wand to it "Mischief managed." The ink disappeared off the page. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." The words appeared again. I stared at them, dumbfounded. "Wow, so your the guys that pulled the prank on the seventh year Slytherins when you were in your first year?" They all nodded. "That's... awesome." I laughed. "Good looks can't get you everywhere." Sirius smirked. I rolled my eyes.
On Monday we had Divination. Peter had come down with a flu so I partnered up with Remus and James and Sirius. I noticed that James spent almost the whole time looking at Lily Evens. I didn't know anyone that well except fir the Marauders. Lily seemed like a nice girl, there must be a reason that he liked her so much. James wasn't getting anywhere with her. In fact, I think he's pushing her away, bullying her best friend Severus. Today we were going over some of our dreams from our dream journals. Remus told me that most of his dreams had been about being a werewolf so he made his up. The week dragged on, during potions, I didn't get the Liquid Luck I deserved. I also didn't get into the Slug Club (I wasn't sure whether that was good or bad). My sister bragged loudly about it. She and Bellatrix had grown close, a little too close for comfort.
Finally, it was Saturday. Sirius was chewing on the end of his quill as we all sat in the courtyard, Remus was 'tutoring' Peter, James was playing with his snitch, and I was helping Sirius with his Divination homework. "Should I have a dream where I die?" He asked, Trelawney had taken to predicting his death. This week, she said he would die at the Ministary of Magic. What crap. I shook my head, "You died in your last three dreams, maybe you should get the plague and... Not die?"
Sirius nodded his head, "Yeah, yeah, that works." He dipped his quill into some ink and began scribbling into his journal. Lily Evens walked past us with Seveus Snape. James threw the snitch at Severus's head and asked Lily if she wanted to go out with him. Lily glanced over at me, "Are you being held hostage? Blink twice if you are." I laughed at her remark. "But seriously," she continued, "if you ever need someone to complain about them to, I'm your girl." With that, she shot a nasty look at James, gave Remus a sweet smile and continued on her way with Severus.
