The Start of Something New.

Chapter 9:

Paige's P.O.V

It's been two whole days that I've been back from that piece of shit shed of Frank's. I think his reason to kidnap me, was to rape me. It wasn't happening. I wouldn't let it. I felt bad because I didn't get to tell my little girls good morning. That had to be the worst thing for me. I know that Tj probably freaked out. I feel really bad not being able to wake up to him either. His touch makes me smile. Even if it's just for a second.

"Paige have you took your medicine today? And by that medicine, I mean the depression one? You look a little upset today." Tj says to me.

"Uhh, yeah." I lied. I want to see if I can go a few days without it, but if he starts counting the pills, I'll be in deep shit.

"Okay, just making sure. I don't want anything to happen to you." He says back and walks to our bed to sit down.

I go sit behind him on the bed and put my arms around him. Does he think that I need special medication to survive a world like this? Maybe, but I would like to take a chance to be able to do these things on my own.

"Is there anything wrong?" I ask him. I look at his face. His eyes are covered by his hands.

"Come on, Tj. You can tell me."

"Everything is happening too fast!" He yells.

"I can't lose you, Paige! I can't! I love you so fucking much and you were almost taken away from me!" He yells again.

"I don't see how that's any of my fault." I say back to him. He gives me a deep stare and looks back at the ground. What was he thinking? "Tj? How is it my fault?" I ask.

"You don't get it! Frank was inches away from taking you away from me! It isn't your fault! It's mine! I should have stayed up! I knew I should have!" Tj yells sobbing. I climb onto the floor with my not so good leg and make him look at me with his crying eyes. Tj I'm not going anywhere. That's a promise. Frank is gone now. Nothing bad will happen ever again. Even this apocolypse can't break us. I know that the walkers took Hope. I tried to get her. Remember how I was? I can't stand for you to be like I was. Please, don't get upset. Look what we have now. We have eachother. We have Luke, Mitch,  Maddi, Nikki, Audrey, and Jamie. Hope is still here, you just can't see her. She's right here." I say pointing at his heart.

"I love you." Tj says with his stuffy nose and bloodshot eyes. You could totally tell he was crying.

"I love you too." I reply with a smile. I climb back onto the bed but now laying on top of Tj all cuddled up.

I get up as Tj is asleep. I put on my boot that I now have to wear because my ankle decided to heal the opposite way. Oh well. I have no other shoes anyway. Maybe me and Tj can go and find some other shoes?

"Tj, wake up babe." I say quietly.

"Hmm.." He grunts and sits up. "Where are you going?"

"We are going to get shoes. I am not wearing this boot anymore. It itches and hurts. We also need to get the kids some clothes and shoes." I say back to him.

"Alright, let me go get ready and I'll have Nicole go get the mustang." Tj says. I give him a kiss and let him walk out the door.

"She better not look at you!" I yell before he shuts the door. He looks at me and smiles and says, "She won't! I'll make sure of it!" Then he leaves.

"Nikki, Audrey, Mitch, Maddi, Luke what kind of shoes do you want? Me and your father are taking the mustang to go get some shoes." I ask.

"Converse." They all yell along with their shoe size. I write it down on some paper so I don't forget. I go to the top of the stair case with this stupid boot on my leg and nearly trip until I see Tj running up the stairs to get me.

"I can walk." I tell him.

"You need my help and you're gonna get over me helping you." He snaps back to me. He picks me up and carries me down the stairs. We reach the bottom of the stairs and I climb down off his tall body and pull out my gun and knife as does Tj. Nicole and Trent open the doors so we can exit and run to the car. There were about five zombies out there, but of courise we got them all. It was kinda hard because of my leg, I fell on my ass and a zombie almost got me. I finally managed to get my knife from above my head and kill the zombie. Tj helped me up and helped me into the car. Tj jumped into the drivers door and we drove off with Nicole and Trent in the backseat.

"So why did you decide to ask for help from me?" She asks Tj. I give him a look as if to say, "You talk to her I will kill you." Tj just kept on driving.

"I asked for you to come. Problem?" I ask her hoping she say something smart so I can beat the bitch. She looks at me with worried eyes and shakes her head no. I turn back around, but this time sit on Tj's lap while he's driving so that Nicole can't get any idea to touch him while I'm around.

We finally reach the shoe store and get some of the shoes that we have been looking for. We already find mine, Tj's, Luke, Maddi, and Nikki's. Now we just need to find Audrey and Jamie's. Baby Converse has GOT to be the hardest thing to find! I swear!

"I think I found them!" I hear Trent yell. We go running towards him and when I see myself running, I notice that my leg is how it normally was. "Size 5 in children right?" Trent asks.

"Yeah, now we just need a size one for Jamie." Tj says putting his hand in the lower corner of my back to scoot me closer to him.
