"thank you for choosing to meet up with me." she hadn't heard his voice for a long time yet she could hear that nothing had changed.

it was still as soft and gentle, just like him.

"well, i had nothing else to do so i decided to agree with your offer." her words held a firm tone that showed the boy that she was no longer the delicate girl that he once knew.

she was a stronger person, wiser even though she was a little unsure from time to time.

"i'm guessing you read the letters?" both of their minds drifted off to the pieces of papers that held all of haesul's bottled emotions during the torment that he had made her face all by herself.

"yeah, i read them and i am really sorry that i put you through all of that." before he could babble even more, the girl put a stop to his words.

"hyunjin, there is nothing for you to be sorry for so stop apologizing before i place tape over your mouth." his brows furrowed at the sincerity that was held in her words.

he just couldn't grasp at how she managed to let go of the past without even a hint of hatred or anger.

as if she could read his mind, haesul spoke the words that she had wished she had told him a long time ago yet her courage was seldom.

"we met and we loved so that's good enough for me." hyunjin's eyes welled up with tears that he had held back for a long time before they finally fell.

haesul wiped his tears away for the last time and grasped his hand, holding it one last time before she looked at his face once more in the hopes that she could remember his features.

he was still the same hyunjin that she had met and nothing would change that for her.

with one final look, she stood up and walked away, leaving him all alone in the cafe with no one to accompany him.

she was out of his reach but he felt that her still there when he spoke, "no matter where you are, you'll always have a place in my heart."

their ending was filled with tears and broken hearts with words that were left unsaid but with everything said and done, all the wounds could heal with the closure.

after all, it's just like time.

everything will pass by.
