"Are you coming?" Cheryl asked standing by your locker after your last class.

"Where?"

"The game, Silly." She smirked.

"Oh, sure. Isn't Betty a cheerleader too?" You smile.

"Yes." She pouts. "So is Veronica, but you're coming for me right?"

"Of course, Cherry Waves." You giggle, closing up your locker to follow her to the gym.

You cheered for Betty a few times during practice when she was finally getting the new routine down and Cheryl was getting upset.

Veronica was mostly quiet until she decided to give Cheryl a little piece of hell for being so hard on the poor blonde.
You nodded appovingly at how she handled things when the three of them looked to the stand for your opinion on the subject.

Cheryl was visibly upset, storming off to the locker rooms alone while the rest of the team practiced with Veronica subbing for their leader.

"Cher?" You call into the locker room as the door opened. "You in here?"

You walk slowly, checking between the lockers as you follow her quiet sobs.

"What's wrong, Beautiful?" You ask, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

"Veronica is always showing me up.. I'm no good-"

"Cheryl, don't compare yourself to her. You are not Veronica Lodge and you shouldn't want to be.." You say with a shake of your head. "You were being mean to Betty-"

"I just.." She sighed heavily. "I was just.. Jealous."

"Because I was cheering for her?" You frown. "Cheryl, of course I'm cheering for you-"

"Honor.." She interupted, causing you to stop mid-sentence. "Can I try something?"

"Sure, like what?" You ask, not realizing the distance closing between you.

You lips met in a gentle embrace.

Cheryl held you close by your hips as your arms wrapped around her shoulders, one hand caressing her face as you kissed.
She pulled away, dragging your lip between her teeth as she did, leaving you flustered.

"Cher.." You gasped as she pressed your forheads together.

"I still really care about you, Tannerkins. I want to be yours and I want you to be mine. It's a little fast but I know what I want, It's you.. So take some time if you need it to decide. Promise you'll think about it?" She pleaded with caring hazel eyes.

"Of course." You sigh, still in shock. "I'll think about it, I promise."

"Okay." She smiled softly, pressing a kiss to your cheek before happily joining the rest of the team in the gym.

You stayed in the locker room until you finally realized that you had been touching the spot she had kissed on your cheek for about twenty minutes.

You scrambled to grab your phone from your bag on the floor, texting Toni and asking her to meet you at the game tonight.
You waited for her reply before leaving and taking the backway out of the gym.

You waited in your car for Toni, who brought milkshakes for the two of you while you waited for gametime.
You were ignoring several texts as you sat with your friend in the parking lot, all but Jughead's who obviously wasn't telling anyone where you were either.

Toni left her jacket in your car, borrowing one of your hoodies for the time being.
The last thing you need is a gang war at the football game.

You made your way to the bleachers, winking at Betty as she locked eyes with you in the stands, she had a wide smile on her face all the while.
You sat next to Jughead and Toni took the seat behind you so you could lean against her legs.

"Since when are you into football, Jughead?" Toni asked playfully.

"I could ask you the same." He scoffed with a smirk on his face. "I have better reasons than football."

"We all do." You joked, rolling your eyes and earning a chuckle out of them.

The Vixens did their opening routine and you blew a kiss to Betty and Cheryl after ward, both of them catching it and holding it close to their hearts.
The football team ran out, making a circle in the middle of the field but it wasn't right.

"Jason." You gasped.

Jughead's hand covered your own as he leaned closer to you.

"It's just Archie, Fitz.."

"Archie?" You gasped, utterly appalled. "No."

You stood up from the stands, grabbing your bag in a rush and racing to the parking lot.

By the time you reached your car you were in tears but soon after you dropped to your knees, a pair of arms wrapped around your shoulders.
Toni's boots came into view, although she kept her distance since emotion wasn't exactly "her thing" at least according to the Serpent herself.

"Shh.." Cheryl assured as she ran her hand through your hair. "I know. I know, it'll be okay.. I swear."

"It's not right." You sobbed into her shoulder. "He deserves better."

"I know." She hushed, holding you close to her as you calmed down. "What if we get out of here?"

"You should get back to the game, they'll need you. You're their leader." You insisted after relaxing.

"What about you?" She frowned.

"You want to go drive around?" Toni asked quietly from her place leaning against my car.

"Sure." You sighed, wiping your eyes.

Cheryl frowned again, glancing Toni over before helping you up and pulling you into a hug.

"I'll call you right after the game, we'll get something to eat.. Sound good?" She whispered softly.

"Yeah, that sounds great." You sigh as she releases you.

She kissed your cheek before running off toward the field again and you got into your car with Toni hopping into the passenger seat.

"So.. You and the cheerleader?" She mumbled after a few minutes of driving around.

"I don't know." You sighed as it started raining. "Don't worry about it for now."

"Easy for you to say.." She mumbled.

"Toni, I'm sorry. I literally just moved back and it's kind of hard to think with everything that's already happened in this town.. I just need time, I'm sure you can respect that." I sighed.

"I can." She sighed in defeat. "Just keep me in mind, maybe?"

"Time, Topaz." I teased.

"Right." She smirked, her bleak attitude fading as we rode in silence.
