"What do you mean you can't get it out of her exactly?" Jack demands as the Doctor begins running around ripping wires out of computers and grabbing up all sorts of extra odds and ends around the room.
"Well you see it's a little like being possessed, but also.. Not really. It's only alive as long as she is alive. Which means when the Incaendium begins to sense that she is dying it will move on. Infect one of us. Sooo.." The Doctor paused as he began twisting wires around several pieces of metal.
"What.. are you doing?" Jack asked staring at the little gadget in his hand.
"Making a.." He stops when he finishes twisting a small wire and the gadget lights up red. "Ah ha!" the Doctor hovers the small blinking light over Ann-Marie's arm and moves down to her hand.
"What are you looking for?" Toshika questions curious as to how he made something so quickly from virtually nothing. The Doctor is concentrating so hard on what he's doing he almost doesn't hear.
"Hmm? Oh! Well finding the point of entry. Wherever the Incaendium latched on to her skin. She said he bumped into her." Anne-Marie shifts mumbling something.
"I think she's trying to tell us something Doctor." Gwen tells him.
"Anne-Marie! Anne-Marie what is it?" She pulls his head down and mumbles something before going limp again. The Doctor straightens up.
"What did she say?" Jack asks concerned. The Doctor raises an eyebrow.
"Neck." It hits Owen before anyone else, being a doctor. He pulls Anne-Marie up and shifts aside her hair. "What are you doing!" the Doctor demands.
"Neck. She was telling us where..." He stops when he has finally moved all of her hair away and sees a glowing, not a red or yellow, but a glowing circle of skin on the back of her neck.
"You are good." the Doctor says pointing at Owen who looks pretty pleased with himself.
"It's glowing." Ianto states slowly.
"Well what did you expect?" the Doctor replies. "Okay. First things first, what puts out fire?" The group stands still. Thinking. "Water obviously but give me unobvious things." Another bout of silence and the Doctor exhales slowly. "Wow. Boring crowd. Well good thing you have a brilliant mind in the room!" the Doctor says gesturing at himself.
"You can smother a fire." Gwen speaks up. The Doctor turns to face her a little anger as he stalks forward.
"Are you suggesting we suffocate her?" he demands.
"Just putting out an idea." Gwen replies evenly.
"Good poker face under pressure. Now she's right. Anymore ideas that anyone just wants to put out there?" the Doctor asks turning back around to face everyone.
"Fire blankets." Toshkia says a bit timidly.
"Good! Excellent! We're getting somewhere. Come on you lot! More ideas." the Doctor cries out gesturing upwards as if the ideas are suppose to throw themselves up into the air and make themselves known.
"Fire extinguisher." Ianto says with a shrug.
"We're heading along the same path. Not upwards. Good idea but not a great one. Jack?" Captain Jack raises an eyebrow at him. "Your turn to spit out an idea. Come on." he says waving his hand at him.
"Freeze her." the Doctor pauses.
"Freeze her?" he demands.
"Yes. It won't kill her." Jack replies.
"It might. It might kill her." the Doctor interjects narrowing his eyes at him.
"She'll be fine. I've done it before." the Doctor rolls his eyes.
