"Why are they throwing confetti? Isn't rice customary!" The Doctor exclaimed shielding his eyes as the small colored pieces of paper floated down around them.
"Confetti is just more fun." Anne-Marie replied, gripping his hand a bit tighter as they ran across the small walkway to the awaiting car, driven by Jack Harckness. The Doctor grinned at her as they slid inside. Just as soon as they entered the vehicle though, Anne-Marie's smile dropped and she let go of the Doctor's hand. The Doctor winced and Anne-Marie stared at him in a too business like fashion for someone he had just married. "Now listen here Doctor. I want you to remember the look of disappointment on my face okay?" The Doctor nodded slowly. "No I need to hear it."
"I'll remember." the Doctor said reluctantly.
"I want you to remember, and as soon as you become my Doctor, you come right back here and pick me up." It was then the Doctor realized they had gone around the church back to the Tardis. She was kicking him out.
"Anne-Marie.." The Doctor began in an attempt to make this better, but Anne-Marie held up her hand to stop him.
"I don't want to hear it. I've had enough Doctor. You better stop running from me before you really mess up." The Doctor was afraid he already had. The idea saddened him "Please get back in your Tardis and fly away." Anne-Marie said, staring straight ahead. The Doctor hesitated as he opened the car door. He kissed her cheek quickly, startling Anne-Marie before he exited the car. Anne-Marie sighed and finally let her shoulders droop.
"Aw now don't go crying on me now Anne-Marie." Jack said from the front seat. Anne-Marie wiped away a single tear, laughing.
"I won't Jack."
"How long do we wait?" He questioned.
"As long as it takes."

Are you listening? Are you sure? Good. Now, I have something to tell you. Something important. You're not awake. Oh, you're positive that you are? Have you pinched yourself? Stuck you head into a bucket of water? No? Perhaps you should try.
You have to wake up. No. You need to wake up.
Wake. Up.
WAKE UP.
They're going to get you. You've got to wake up. They can't kill you when you're awake. They can only kill you in your dreams. You're not safe. Especially when you think you're awake.
Are you awake yet?
Are you sure?

Anne-Marie was trying to run as quickly as she could down the darkened hallway. "Doctor!" She screamed for what felt like the thousandth time. Her throat was dry and raw from all the screaming and running and her lungs are about to give out but she couldn't stop. Not with that thing so close on her heels. "Doctor!" She screamed again. Anne-Marie wasn't sure where she was or if the Doctor was even here, she just hoped he came when she called.
Rounding a corner, Anne-Marie came to a skidding halt when the creature that had been chasing her, stood directly in her path. Breathing heavily, Anne-Marie flicked her eyes back down the way she had come. Run. "Doctor!" She screamed again taking off back the way she had come but the creature was there as well. They were on both sides, surrounding her. She was trapped. She was dead.
Anne-Marie screamed as she sat up, shaking uncontrollably. Panting she turned very which way to find that she wasn't in a hallway but her bedroom, light streaming through the windows. She was back in her house. There was no hallway or dark thing changing her. She was fine. Anne-Marie glanced at the clock. And she was going to be late for school!
