Anyways, take this very late smut. Quirky_Archangel suggested this to me a longgggg time ago in the PMs and inspiration hit me like a truck. So yeeeeeeeeeeee

Maria was pissed off.

Another day of trying to get Alex to notice her was for naught. Nothing she did worked. All she wanted was for Alexander to love her. Was that too much to ask?

 Well, it's not like he ignored her. He would occasionally smile and wave at her, but never took it fURTHER!

Maria needed a plan. 

She had expressed her feelings to her dorm roommate, Eliza.

"Are you sure you want him?" Eliza frowned. "There are better boysㄧpeopleㄧ  out there for you."

Maria sighed and rested her chin on her palms. "You don't get it, 'Liza.  We've been pretty good friends for quite some time,  but lately I've been feeling... different things towards him."

Eliza was silent for a bit.

"I have an idea," Eliza said with a sly smile.

Maria looked at her roommate. Usually Eliza's plans never failed.

"What if you made him jealous?" Eliza smirked. "Be all sloppy with someone else in front of him and watch him get angry."

"Oh, my god, you're a genius!" Maria squealed in excitement. She threw her arms around Eliza squeezing her.

"O-Okay, okay, no need for that," Eliza said hastily, gently pushing her away. 

"The question is, who should I use?" Maria pondered, tapping a finger to her chin.

Eliza smiled again. "That's a great question, Mar, but I have an answer. Who better to use than his best friend?

The plan was perfect. 

Maria ended up spending the past hour plotting with Eliza.  Maria and Eliza  was supposed to invite John Laurens and Alexander Hamilton out to lunch. When they were there, Maria would swoop upon John and turn on the charm. Then, Alex would get jealous and beg Maria to love him. It was fool-proof!

"Are you ready?" Eliza asked Maria. When the smaller girl nodded, Eliza passed her the phone.

Maria called John, and was relieved that he picked up. "Hey, John~! I was wondering if you and Alex were free to have lunch with me and 'Liza."

The two girls were elated when he accepted.

"Great! We'll meet you at the diner at 1:30."

Maria hung up and passed the phone to Eliza. "Okay, now what?"

"Now, you have to dress in something really eye-catching," Eliza replied quickly. "I can help you, if you'd like."

Maria shook her head. "I think I can do it."

<<Another time skip hhhhh>>

"Do you see them?" Maria whispered. She and Eliza were standing in front of the restaurant they had agreed to meet the guys at. It was exactly 1:30.'

"No," the taller girl replied. "Maybe they had a change of plans."

"Oh, god, don't say that!" Maria whined, covering her eyes with her hands. "They NEED to come! Our plan is fool-proof!"

"It certainly is," Eliza turned away with a smirk.

Suddenly she noticed two figures approaching them in the distance. "Mari, it's them!" 

Maria  looked up, and sure enough, Alex and John  were walking towards them in the distance.

"Oh my god. They actually came." Maria took a deep breath. As much as she wanted to run over to Alex and kiss him, she knew that she would have to control herself.

"Hey, guys," Eliza said jadedly. She turned away, tossing her long hair, and entered the diner. Maria, John, and Alex followed behind.

They were directed to a table in between two booths. When Alex sat down, John was about to sit with him when Eliza slid into the booth. "Sorry, taken... You can sit with Maria, though!"

"Okay," John sat next to Maria. Maria looked away, feeling awkward tension. How the hell am I supposed to start flirting?!

She met Eliza's gaze. Eliza raised her eyebrows in a questioning manner.

Maria flushed angrily. She wasn't the worst at flirting, but it's not like she does it on a daily basis.

"Maria," Eliza hissed. "Can you...come to the bathroom with me for a moment?"

Without waiting for a response, she grabbed her friend's hand and dragged her away, leaving John and Alex with a confused expression.

Eliza closed the bathroom door and made sure no one was inside. "Maria, do you know what the hell you're doing?"

Maria crossed her arms. "What, it's like your expecting me to be some flirt master or something! I suck at flirting!"

"Okay, well, it's...easy. I think you'd be okay at it. You're not shy or anything." Eliza bit her lip, as if thinking. "You can just... laugh at everything he says and always try to be near him. And give him a compliment or two."

"Okay...." Maria murmured thoughtfully. "That doesn't sound hard."

"You'll be great, Mar." The taller girl smiled. "Now come on."

They both headed back to their table and sat down.

"Everything alright?" John asked them, looking slightly concerned.

"Everything's just.... perfect!" Maria smiled at him. Eliza shot her a thumb's up.

The waiter came to take their order. When John, Alex, and Eliza ordered, and then it was Maria's turn.

"I-I'll just have what he's having," Maria said sweetly, putting her hand on John's shoulder. God, I sound like an idiot.  Alex's eyebrows raised. Eliza covered her mouth to stifle her giggle.

"What are you laughing at?" Maria snapped at Eliza in annoyance. Eliza's expression immediately turned somber.

Oh fuck I'm gonna continue this in another part because I just really feel the need to get an update out. Sorry again guys, I know i suck but I'm dealing with a lot right now..
