Chapter 1: Origins

You let out a loud sigh as you flopped on your couch, your bag falling to the ground in the process.

"Ughhhhhh" You groaned in a muffled tone.

"Long day at school?" Your ears perked up and you bolted off of the couch and looked over towards the kitchen table seeing your older sister nonchalantly sitting there while eating a snack.

"Tifany!" You yelled and ran over to her and gave her a hug that almost makes her fall off the chair.

"Hey Y/n." She giggled seeing you gain back your energy.

"What are you doing here??" You asked incredulously.

"I asked them to let me off a bit early this time." She shrugged her shoulders and you gave her another hug. It was kinda rare to see her at home when you got back from school, usually, you would see her late at night right before you went to bed. But you understood that it was inevitable since she is the #1 hero in America.

"Y/n! You're foods in the microwave!" You could hear your mom shout from her room as she got ready to go out.

"Thanks!" You replied and rushed to get your food heated up and eat with your sister. "So...." you began. "What's new!" You said as you started scarfing down your favorite food. You loved hearing her stories about her fighting bad guys and of course winning!

She laughed at your enthusiasm and was about to tell you about her day but something from the tv caught the attention of both of you.

"Another robbery on Miramar Parkway and SW 160th Avenue, there were a few injured but thankfully the villain was captured." The news reporter stated.

"There's a lot more robberies and attacks huh." You said feeling all the energy from before slowly fading away. "It's all because of that stupid president." You turned to look at her "Now you've got more work than usual."

"Yeah." Was all she responded. There was a short moment of silence before she spoke up again. "Y/n, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. I was thinking-" Suddenly there was a loud knock at the door startling the both of you.

"You expecting anyone?" You asked Tifany. You two waited a moment then heard.

"I AM HERE!" You're eyes widened hearing the familiar voice. You dashed towards the door and swung it open.

"Uncle Toshinori!" You jumped into his large arms and he caught you and spun you around like a child.

"There's my youngest niece!" He stated. He then put you down and changed into his normal skinny form. "Are you ready to go?" He asked. You raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Go? Where?"

"Wait, Uncle Toshi-"

"To Japan of course!" You could hear Tifany facepalm behind you.

"Japan?!" You exclaimed.

"Hey, Uncle Toshinori." Tifany greeted. "I haven't told her yet."

"Oh..." All might sweatdropped seeing that he barged in too early.

"What the hell is going on?!" You demanded an explanation. You waited for someone to say something but then your mom emerged from her room putting on her earrings.

"Hey Toshi." She greeted with a sweet smile.

"M/n." He said just as softly. They hugged each other and then turned to you making you even more nervous.

"Am I in trouble? Cause I already said I was sorry for putting glue in Ashly's bag. Although she deserved that." You mumbled that last part.

"Y/n." Tifany sighed and sat back down in her chair and signaled you to do so as well. You nodded and took a seat next to her along with All might and your mom. You looked at each one of them to see who would speak first.

"Y/n," Tifany began. "You noticed how the delinquency has increased these past few months right?" You nodded your head. "Well, mom, Uncle Toshinori, and I have been thinking it would be best for you to finish school with him...in Japan at UA."

"WHAT?!" You shot up from your chair. "You do know he teaches at a Heros school with people that have powerful quirks to become heroes right?"

"Yes, I do." She put on a serious face and signaled you to sit down, you did just that. "Right now, the grand majority of the villains here are out to get me Y/n, that puts you and mom in danger." You turned to your mother to see if what she was saying was true.

"She's right sweetie. Soon I'll be transferred to another job too-"

"Then I'll go with you! No offense Uncle Toshinori."

"I can't defend you if a villain attacks." She tried to reason with you.

"And what about you?" You asked beginning to get worried about her.

"I can manage with my quirk and I'll be working at a heroes office, I'll be more than protected."  

"Mom I just started school 2 weeks ago." You said trying to reason with her.

"I'm sorry Y/n, but the decision has been made. Take this as an opportunity to practice your quirk." You sighed and held your head in your hands.

"You know I don't wanna use them. I don't want to be a hero!" You slammed your hands on the table.

"Y/n." All might began softly. "I know that this is going to be hard but your mom and sister are doing this to protect you." You calmed down a bit hearing him speak so gently. "I'll take good care of you and from what I've seen so far, the students there are very lively and kind. Most of them at least." He said that last part mostly to himself as he remembers a certain hedgehog.

You took one last look at all of them and sighed.

"Alright fine." You sat back down but then turned to Tifany. "One condition." She lifted an eyebrow. "You two have to video message me as soon as you have time." Tifany smiled and let out a chuckled sigh.

"Deal."

"So when do I have to go?" You asked.

"Tomorrow after school." Your mother answered. You nodded knowing that this was going to happen sooner than later seeing the urgency of the situation.

"I have to finish getting ready!" Your mom suddenly shouted and rushed back to her room. You couldn't help but laugh.

"So that means you're staying the night?" You turned to All might. He gave you a wink and a thumbs up. "He's sleeping in your room!" You shouted at Tifany and ran to your room.

"WHAT?! That's so not fair!" Your sister got up and rushed to catch you.

"Wait. What's that supposed to mean?"

You finally said your goodbyes and had all your things packed in a large suitcase. You stood there at the airport as your mom wouldn't stop blubbering.

"My little girl's all grown up!" She would say. You rolled your eyes playfully.

She was always so emotional.

"Where's Tifany?" Asked All might as he looked around.

"Don't worry, I already said bye to her this morning, can't have people seeing her here at the airport, that would defeat the purpose of all of this." He simply nodded in understanding.

"I'll send you a text as soon as I'm there." You said to your mom as you gave her a hug for the hundredth time today.

"Okay, I love you Y/n, take care and please don't give your uncle any problems. Try your best and work hard." She gave you a kiss on your forehead.

Next was All might. "I promise to keep her safe little sister." He said with a chuckle and ruffled her hair like he would when they were children.

"You'd better, if not I'm going Japan just to kick your ass." She wiped away a tear and gave him one last hug too.

"Love you too." He said smiling. You waved goodbye as you two walked away.

This was it.
