Chapter 21: What's done is done

You woke up the next morning, exhausted and not in the mood to do anything. You got a few calls from Todoroki, Izuku, even Ochako but you didn't want to respond, not yet.

You dragged yourself out of bed and made your way to the living room. Toshinori was already there, sitting on the couch, hands holding each other.

"I'm glad to see you're awake." He said softly, as if he spoke louder you would break.

"Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better, but my neck still hurts. Maybe I can pay Recovery girl a visit before I leave." The tranquil mood changed the moment you said 'leave' and you couldn't help but feel horrible. Toshinori patted the seat beside him and you sauntered over to take a seat.

"I know this is hard and I can see how much you've warmed up to the others in the class but," He let out a long sigh. "Your mother's right, I can't keep you safe here anymore, the limit to my power is getting smaller by the day. I'm sorry Y/n." You leaned your head on his shoulder softly, carefully not to strain your wound.

"It's not your fault, I know she's right, sadly." You hugged his skinny arm as you spoke. "I just wish I could have stayed longer. I'm gonna start packing, my flight's soon." You stood up, ready to face the facts and deal with it.

"Y/n." Your uncle called out before you left the room.

"Yeah?"

"I got to contact the class, they'll be there to see you off." You gave him a sad smile.

"Thanks, Uncle Toshinori. Love you."

"Love you too."

You already knew the process of traveling like the back of your hand and soon enough you were ready to dock. Your friends were there, sniffling and wiping stray tears.

"I'll keep in contact guys." You said with your luggage at hand. Some of them gave a quick goodbye while others stayed a bit longer to give you a proper send off, and that's when Ochako, Izuku and Todoroki were left.

"Remember to text me as often as you can." Said Ochako as she hugged you. You parted and looked at her sweetly.

"Of course! And I'll come to visit as often as possible." She wiped away a few tears and waved goodbye. You turned to Izuku and he was a blubbering mess. You couldn't help but chuckle and rush to give this poor boy a hug.

"Message me daily about the camp and how it's going, don't forget pictures." He nodded and kept wiping away his tears.

"I'll keep you updated." You gave him one last hug and then he walked away. You looked over at the stoic boy and opened your arms.

"Don't leave me hanging." He chuckled and walked over to you, giving you a much needed hug.

"Take care, and I hope everything goes well." You smiled at his kind words and felt the tears coming.

"Yeah, you too." Was all you managed to say. You two parted and you were somewhat surprised when he pecked your cheek with a quick kiss.

"See you on vacations." He waved goodbye and made his way out. You stood there shocked, not knowing what just happened.

"Flight number 35-245 will depart in 10 minutes." You hear the announcer say. You came back down to earth and rushed to get on the plane.

Meanwhile Todoroki was walking out of the airport entrance with his hands in his pockets.

The trip there was faster than you thought and soon enough you were hugging your mom back at home.

"I'm sorry Y/n but I just want you safe, I can't lose you too." She said as she cried on your shoulder. You smiled sadly and hugged her back.

"Yeah, I understand mom... I'm happy to see you again." She reeled back from the hug and wiped her tears away.

"And I'm happy to see you in one piece." She chuckled as she caressed your hair. "Why don't I help you unpack and we can catch up." You nodded and walked back to your new room. It was spacious and had the same decorations you had in your old room.

The two of you chatted about the current events and you also talked about how your Quirk has improved. You mom was more that elated and would constantly praise you.

"It's a good thing you got back during spring break." You mom began as you took a seat at the dinner table. "I was able to get you a spot in one of the good hero schools here." You raised your eyebrows a bit surprised.

"Which one?"

"Whitewater Academy." You spit out your water to the side in shock.

"That's the most prestigious Hero Academy in America!" Your eyes went wide as you tried to process what she just said.

"I pulled some strings to get you in. You'll be starting on Monday." You took out your phone to look at the day and you remembered the time difference.

"That's tomorrow!"

"Then you should get some rest, you've got a big day tomorrow!" She walked away giddly knowing you were going to keep practicing your Quirk yet you were dumbfounded, not knowing how you were going to fit in. You groaned and made your way to your room and flopped on your bed face down. You had a long day and decided to give Izuku a video call. It rang a few times and he finally answered...

He looked just as tired as you were, if not more.

"Izuku?"

"Y/n!" He smiled weakly.

"Is that Y/n??"

"I wanna talk to her!"

"Let me see!" You could hear the voices of your friends in the background and it fills your heart with joy knowing that missed you just as much as you missed them.

Everyone suddenly appeared on the screen, all tired out and they looked like they ran a marathon.

"Are you guys okay? Weren't you guys going on the trip?" You were somewhat confused.

"Yeah, but before we could actually get to the camp they already gave us our first workout." You tilted your head in question.

"We had to go through a forest filled with monsters to get to camp." Ochako sighed.

"Wow, good luck you guys, It looks like this isn't going to be much of a walk in the park." You sweatdropped and felt bad at the fact that they weren't able to relax.

"And what about you? How are you doing?" Tsu-Chan asked sweetly.

"I'm fine, I got here about 2 hours ago and it's like 6 am. I just got settled in and now I've gotta get ready for school tomorrow." You let out a sigh.

"Oh! Right, there's a big time difference right?" Kirishima said.

"Just subtract an hour and switch the 'AM' or 'PM'."

"So what school are you going to?" Izuku asked.

"My mom registered me to go to Whitewater Academy."

"WHAT?!" You backed your phone away from hearing them all shout at the same time.

"What are you all doing! Finish up eating cause this is the only time they're gonna cook for you all!" You could hear Aizawa in the background. You could see everyone left the screen and Izuku was left.

"Sorry, we can talk later." You apologized.

"No problem, see you later Y/n!" He gave you his signature smile and waved.

"Yeah, see you later! Oh! And can you tell Todoroki I said hi?" Izuku nodded and the call ended. You let out a sigh and thought it would be best if you got some rest. It was pretty easy to fall asleep since you were tired from the long flight.

Your mom walked in the room, work uniform on and briefcase at hand. She smiled at you seeing how you didn't even bother changing and just fell asleep. She walked over to you and placed a kiss on the crown of your head.

"I'll see you later."
