You were all dressed and ready to head out to class when you noticed Shoto also walking towards the elevator and you jogged over to him.

"Morning Shoto." You greeted with a smile but you were shocked when he turned away and headed for the stairs. Maybe he's still bummed out?

You decided not to pry and teleported directly to the classroom. The distance wasn't much a problem anymore and it didn't take up much of your quirk usage anymore anyway.

As usual, you were the first one there and slowly but surely everyone was arriving. You greeted your classmates as they came inside but when you waved to Shoto he completely ignored you.

"Alright class this week will be calm considering the exam really took a toll on you all, but that doesn't mean we won't have hero practice." You were glad to hear you were all getting a break after all that and it was pretty refreshing to get a taste of regular school work again.

The next day wasn't anything special, just as Aizawa said, regular classes and some hero practices in between. But during this time you did feel something off about Shoto. He wouldn't work with you in groups or hang out with you or even look at you for that matter.

A few days had already gone by and you were starting to get worried. Did you do something to upset him?

The bell for lunch rang and you took the chance to talk to Shoto but he had other plans.

"Hey Sho-" You were walking up to him but he immediately turned around and walked away.

"Woah, what happened there?" Asked Toru appearing to your right with her food tray at hand.

"I have no idea..." You didn't like the way he was treating you and it was only you, he would talk regularly to everyone else except for you.

You speed-walked to catch up to the red and white-haired boy. "Shoto." Your tone was more earnest as you reach for his shoulder and he noticed this so he moved away. You furrowed your eyebrows and balled your hands into fists.

He was heading up the stairs towards the rooftop and you decided to teleport in front of him so that he had no other option. "What's going on Shoto?" You asked honestly curious as to why he was giving you the cold shoulder. He was startled when you suddenly appeared in front of him, but looked away nonetheless.

"It's nothing." Was all he said before moving to a side and continue walking. You teleported in front of him again, not taking that as a valid answer.

"It's not 'Nothing' Shoto, why are you ignoring me? What did I do?" Shoto turned his attention back to you. That's when he noticed that you were incredibly close to him, only a few inches. He could feel his face start to flush but he knew it wasn't because he was sick or anything, maybe this was what Izuku was talking about?

"Space." Was the first thing that came to his mind. He took a step back and he felt like he could finally breathe. "I need space."

Your facial expression softened and your shoulders slumped realizing what he meant. "Oh..." Was all you could think up at the moment. Without another word, Shoto continued his way up the stairs and opened the door as he reached the rooftop, his heart racing as he clicked it shut behind him.

Meanwhile you just stood there not knowing how to react. Space?

You thought back to the way he looked at you and how he backed away from you.

Did he find out what I meant when I said I liked him???

You leaned your back to the wall and slid to the ground. Aw crap... You ran your hands through your hair. Did I just ruin our friendship?

-

As the days passed by you couldn't help but feel down in the dumps. Shoto wouldn't even spare you a glance during class, or lunch or even in the lounge at Heights Alliance.

"How you holding up?" Mina asked seeing you in the same state since you mentioned what happened to her and of course if Mina knows, all the girls automatically know.

You brought your legs up to criss-cross on the lounge couch. "I'm doing fine Mina, don't worry about me, this'll all blow over soon, I'm sure of it." You gave her a weak smile.

"It sounds more like you're trying to convince yourself about that." Toru chimed in, soon enough all the girls had gathered together since the guys were probably taking their baths by now, giving them some time alone.

"It's just that I can't do anything about it guys, I can't just force him to talk to me again, like I said, it'll probably be over soon..." You stood up from the couch.

"Do you want some company?" Asked Ochaco.

"I'm good, I'm just gonna head up first, night everyone." You waved goodbye and headed for the elevator.

"I really do hate seeing her like this." Tsu-chan spoke up.

"Yeah, I miss her cheerful self."

"I wonder why he just decided to dump her aside like that."

"Yeah it was totally unfair." The girls continued their conversation but Kyoka noticed a certain someone walking out of the baths, changed and with a towel around his neck.

"Speak of the devil..." By this point the girls were pretty filled with hate towards the duo quirk user.

"HEY SHOTO!" Mina shouted getting pissed off by how nonchalant he was acting while her best friend was heartbroken. Shoto turned his attention to where his name was being called and soon enough they were all ganging up on him.

"What's your deal!"

"Yeah why are you treating her that way?"

"How could you be so cruel??"

"Um..." Shoto didn't really understand what was going on as he tried to figure out what they were so angry at him. "What are you all talking about?"

"Y/N!" They shouted together.

"You really hurt her feelings..." Momo was the one to speak up this time.

"Yeah, I know it can be awkward after someone confesses but you don't have to just flat out ignored her like she doesn't exist." Shoto blinked a few times and from the corner of his eye, he could see green hair.

"But Izuku said that it was best to give her some space." And just like that he threw his friend under the bus. The girls glared daggers at the poor boy who was wondering why Shoto would just blurt something out like that.

"I- I didn't know what else to say! I was considering Y/n's feelings!" Izuku had his hands up in defense.

"She's depressed, have you considered that?" Mina crossed her arms over her chest.

"I mean it also gave Shoto time to sort out his own feelings..." They turned their attention back to the red and white-haired boy.

"In my defense Izuku was also helping me out in determining how I feel towards Y/n, like how I feel when I'm around her, it's kind of like how he acts around Ochaco, right?" All the commotion from before came to a halt as they all looked at the brown-haired girl who was blushing a million shades of red.

"Todoroki!" Izuku couldn't help but cover his face in embarrassment.

"Wait, so doesn't that mean you like Y/n too?" Kyoka pointed out amits all the fangirling.

Shoto raised his eyebrows. All of a sudden he had that feeling again, his cheeks heating up, his heart racing. Without saying another word he took advantage of the fact that everyone was caught up in Izuku and Ochaco's relationship and rushed towards the stairs.

He ran as fast as he could until he reached the fifth floor and proceeded in sprinting towards your room. He panted as he stood in front of your door and worked up the courage to finally knock.

You were startled when you hear someone at your door. You got out of your bed and rubbed your eyes as you turned the lights on and opened the door to see Shoto tired and out of breath.

"I like you too, Y/n."
