As YiJeong walked the sidewalk that led him to the park, he paid little to no attention to the things happening around him. The only thing his mind was focused on was the music playing through his headphones as he paced onwards.
The soothing sounds of The 1975's 'Sincerity is Scary' continued to play as he rounded the corner to his destination. If he'd only been paying more attention he would have seen the car sliding on the black ice and quickly making its way towards him. But he didn't, so he continued his slow pace.
The car honked viciously at YiJeong, but his headphones were so loud he assumed it was part of the song and he was only hearing it now due to finally listening to it through his headphones. The car continued to slide across the street before finally attempting to honk one last time. Seconds before the car reached YiJeong, he finally glanced up and noticed the fast approaching vehicle, but by then, it was too late.
His world had already been painted in black.

KyungIl was sitting at the house waiting on YiJeong to finally make his way back when he felt it. Something wasn't right and he was sure it had something to do with YiJeong. He hopped up off of the chair he was seated in before allowing his reaping senses to lead him to a soul that was crying out. And the thing that startled him the most was that the soul sounded exactly like YiJeongs.
When he finally reached the scene of the accident he knew instantly what had happened and the guilt he felt was immense. He'd made YiJeong upset earlier when he left and of course the younger would decide not to come home immediately.
As he rounded the side of the nearly flipped over car, he saw YiJeongs lifeless body laying beneath the wreckage.
"No," he cried out instantly,"YiJeong, please stop playing, this isn't funny." The reaper was in complete denial of what he was seeing. He could no longer hear YiJeong's soul either, but he knew where the younger mans soul would go.
He continued to walk over to the boys lifeless body before kneeling next to it and touching YiJeongs wrist to check for pulse. He had to make sure before he started his journey.
He'd reclaim YiJeongs body when he'd gotten the boys soul back. He made a promise to himself to never let the boy suffer in the land of the dead for too long. And he was praying that the younger wasn't in Elysium. Then he'd really have no way to get him back.
"YiJeong, I promise I will get you back."
