YiJeong still wasn't quite sure just how long it had been since his death and how long he'd been trapped with Jaeho, but he knew it had been too long. He'd reached a point with Jaeho that allowed him to roam freely about the house and garden, but the downside was being moved into Jaeho's master bedroom to live there with him. Every night Yijeong had to come up with a new excuse as to why he couldn't be physical with the ruler. It seemed that Jaeho was under the impression that the two of them were an exclusive thing; when in reality, Yijeong couldn't be more disgusted.
He yearned to be with Kyungil even more with every passing second and that yearning only intensified when Jaeho was near him. And as of right now, YiJeong was throwing his hands up in joy because Jaeho was going to be occupied the next few days. He still didn't understand how the time worked in the underworld, but he knew that he was going to have quite a bit of time to himself. According to Jaeho, someone was wreaking havoc on earth and more souls than usual were being sent down to the underworld. This, of course, meant that the ruler had to make sure all of the souls were being sent to the correct place and therefore couldn't be with YiJeong.
What Jaeho didn't mention, however, was that that 'someone' was Kyungil. He'd left his search in the underworld to reap the souls of thousands of people on earth. He had become so angry that he no longer felt the need to play coy; he wanted YiJeong back and he wanted him now. He was done playing with prophets, he was done being led in the wrong direction. Wherever YiJeong was in the underworld, Kyungil wants to find him and bring him back.
At some point during his fruitless search, Kyungil had caught onto to the idea that maybe Jaeho was behind this. Jaeho was known to do things unfairly in the underworld, but most times he didn't interfere with someone a reaper was attached to. And it was no secret to anyone in the underworld or any other realm that Kyungil was way too infatuated with a human. Jaeho was taking this way too far and Kyungil was over it. He would reap soul after soul until Jaeho gave him back what was his.
-
Two more days had gone by on earth with Kyungil sending soul after soul to the underworld before he came face to face with none other than Jaeho himself. "Kyungil, why are you doing this? do you realize the amount of strain you are putting on me? You're sending soul after soul and I can't keep doing this. It's tiring." Jaeho said. Kyungil only made a point to laugh sarcastically before responding," it's tiring? what's it been in the underworld? a few hours? you know time is drastically different down there. It's not like you're really doing much."
This only offended Jaeho and made him more exasperated. "How about you come to the underworld yourself and do it for me? you can't! because you don't even know exactly what it is that I do. Why are you even doing this anyways? you know you can end up in serious trouble if you don't stop. It is against rules to hurt innocent people."
"Where is YiJeong?" Kyungil asks.
"What?" Jaeho responds dumbly. He wasn't expecting to be asked about the younger man.
"Do not play stupid with me Jaeho. Where is Yijeong? He went into the underworld, but I cannot find him. It's almost like someone is hiding him from me. It wasn't his time to go and he should be back on earth, so where is he?"
Jaeho continued to look around with a blank look on his face before responding,"this isn't the place for discussions like that. Why don't you come back to the underworld with me? we can talk about it there."
And while nothing about that idea sounded good, Kyungil could only take what he was offered. So that is how he found himself once again shrouded in darkness and surrounded by lost souls. He walked the path behind Jaeho and soon found himself in front of what he could only describe as a very dark home. Though it was grand in size and resembled a Victorian castle more than anything, he knew that it was Jaeho's place of residence. And the vibe felt very wrong.
So wrong in fact, that Kyungil wasn't sure he wanted to go in anymore. He was suddenly recalling the warnings he received from prophets before, but his desire to find YiJeong overpowered that fear he felt. So in he went, hoping that this would his chance at finding the younger man.

truth be told, i have no idea what this is. idek what track i was on when i last published two months ago. I finished my first year of uni but i work almost 6 days a week and therefore still lack time. I think there are only four chapters left if that and this will be over. I will go back and edit all chapters at some point so that the plot (or lack thereof) flows better. see ya
