~Just wanna say, huge shout out to my man LeviDougan and his story, "Jurassic World : Redemption." He's really helped me come up with ideas for the next few following chapters and I can now call him a co-writer of Hunger!~

"Your name." A gruff voice entered my ears as I was surrounded by six tyrannosaurs. "Reed," I told the alpha.
"What were you doing with my hatchling?" He asked in a rough tone. My legs shook with fear, "I was chasing the tiny green creature and he snatched it up."

"Hm," the others backed off as the male circled me, eyeing me, "would you hurt us? Overthrow your alpha perhaps? Would you join the likes of that abomination in the darkest part of the forest? I've never seen you around before, where have you come from?" He asked me over and over.

I shook my head, so many questions. "I would never hurt any of you unless I had to, an alpha is a leader so why overthrow them? I have no idea of the abomination you speak of, but I did smell your packs fear when you confronted him. I've only been here for less than a day now, I just got released from this horrible plac-" The alpha stopped me there and reared back.

"By the earth, they let you out of the labs? You're a killing machine!" He didn't even let me finish, he came closer to me and I thought he would bite my head off right then but instead I felt his neck on mine, it was the rex form of a hug.

He knew how it felt, he told me, he was the first one in this enclosure. He hadn't been tested on but he knew my pain, he knew. Before I knew it I was part of their pack, the solid seven, they didn't like that name though.

We ran together and I fit in well, besides my obvious darker coloring. Because of that coloring I was set as the stalker and I didn't hate that job at all. I scared away the herd a couple of times but soon I got the hang of it.

The alpha males name was Spruce, his mate was named Birch, their two children were Nettle and Fern, their uncle is called Arrow, and his mate is named Lily. I made the seventh.

Arrow and Lily always stayed silent, they were saddened by their sterility, they could never have hatchlings. Birch and Spruces relationship was strong, and their children were annoying to say the least.

My teeth met the bone of an unfortunate parasaurolophus that my pack had hunted, it crunched like leaves underfoot. The young ate the scraps last whereas the alpha ate first, and then the other rexes joined in.

My hunger was driving me insane, I couldn't explain it, usually I had been hand fed or this old meat was dropped into my cage by a huge crane, this was fresh, bloody, and I loved every second of it.

After all of the commotion of the feast I sat down on my sun rock, it was warm to my cold underbelly, and I felt the hints of winter in the air.

I closed my eyes and locked my open jaw in place as the winged tooth-cleaners came back, they must have been dimorphodons. Suddenly though they flew away in shrieks of panic.

When I opened my eyes and shut my mouth I saw a white creature, almost taller than a human. Instantly I remembered it's robust body from the times I used to fight in the pit, it was a utahraptor.

"What do you want?" I asked the pest with a snarl, it replied in a feminine voice, "Well hello there to you to pal, I was just walkin' along and was wonderin' if you wanted to see my escape plan? Plus you're tall enough, I need you."

I grunted, "Fine, where is it?" She jumped in what seemed like joy, I knew to be careful of these things, they were crafty.

She ran into the jungle and I reluctantly followed, telling Spruce that I would just be a minute and soon we arrived at the south wall. It was very cold.

"Ok, ok," she laughed, "go as close as you can to the wall." So, I did, and she climbed up my back, onto my neck, and I felt her toes on my eye crests very shortly after.

"Watch the toe claws you mangy thing." I told her as I could see her glistening claw in my right eyes view. My left was still blurry from the acid incident from my younger age. Suddenly she jumped and laughed like she had just eaten some of the wrong mushrooms.

She was ABOVE the wall, she had managed to jump that high, those stupid humans for not setting it high enough. "Ok, she said, I'll go let everyone out, he he." She raced along the edge to a building far off in the distance.

I turned my head away, still baffled, and was forced into the ground. I felt teeth in my throat, they pierced my skin and I felt the blood flow into the dirt below me. Then they released and I felt a huge foot on my chest, pressing down so hard I thought my ribs would break.

Then I felt it, the hot breath in my ear, and the deep, guttural voice of a true behemoth. "Younglingg," his words drew themselves out menacingly, "You've come a long way from your worthless friendsss."

I smelled the horrid stench of carrion and dried blood, I could taste copper on my tongue from my own throat almost being ripped apart.

I looked up to see a huge tyrannosaur, he had no feathers and his eyes shone bloodlust and cruelty.

"W-" I tried to speak but he pressed his foot down onto my neck making me squirm under him in pain. I knew he loved every second of it.

"YOU, do not speak hatchlinggg," he roared in my ear, "Everyone is going to be released this afternoon, I hope you all have funnnn."

He released me from his hold and I stood up shakingly, and in a hoarse voice I asked him, blood dripping from my neck, "Why are you like this?"

Hemlock turned to me, "I am strong alone child, they made me that way, they cast me out, they knew I was dangerous. No," he chuckled under his breath,"they were scared of me."

I saw his head twitch as he turned away and my skin crawled. I had to get back, it was only midday. The brush melded into one green stain as I trampled over animal after animal from squirrel to goat.

I couldn't see out of one eye, sure, I had gotten used to that over the years, but now my vision was fading completely. Sometimes it went dark and I had to stop and try not to pass out right then.

They roared my name and I followed it, somehow I had ended up on the northern side by the time I entered the clearing my new pack mates were living in.

One of the hatchlings screamed when he saw the blood dripping from my neck wounds and his scream rang in my ears, I lost balance and fell on the ground.

I heard the footfalls of all the adults and Spruce looked me in the eye and at my wounds, I spoke in a whispered tone and he had to lean in to hear.

"Hem-lock, Gate-" and I felt the world around me grow even colder as I drifted into a sleep I didn't know if I was going to wake up from.

~Ok, ok, don't get mad, I know it's late guys, I'm sorry about that, this weeks been kinda rough with schoolwork and tests but I did get it to y'all in the end, however I am going to have to postpone my new book Thoughts until I finish Hunger, so I'm not juggling two books and schoolwork.
