~~Reading back all of the chapters I've made this past month, I've realized I took the story of Hunger a little fast, rookie mistake I guess, I want to provide a story you can all get engrossed into without being forced to go through it at such a speed as what I've been giving you. I knew this wouldn't work out, this is my first story so I'm counting it as a learning example. The next story I'm making will still focus on Dinosaurs but it'll be in the perspective of another species. I won't take it as fast and I'll go into as much detail as I possibly can for it. To really get you guys into it I'm going to expand the universe of the new book (possibly a series idk yet) and give it my own flare, my own umph without being too accurate to actual science, which, I've found hard to follow because paleontology and our understanding of these ancient creatures changes so much. Instead of having two upload schedules I'm going to only upload on a certain day of the week (please feel free to comment what dates if you're interested) or, if no one comments, it'll be on Saturdays or Sundays.
Either way I hope you all understand the changes that are needed to go to a new, better book for ya'll to enjoy a whole lot more than you have this one. Thank you, I hope you have an amazing day, and I hope you enjoy the final chapter of Hunger~~I opened my eyes, one side of the world was blurred from my acid-burnt eye, but from my other eyes perspective, I could see the waves lightly lulling themselves over the grainy sand. Not a whitecap in sight. The air here felt lighter, easier to breathe for some reason. When I tilted my head, ignoring the aching feeling in my neck, my sights were set upon a new world, a world I don't think I had ever seen before.
There were prehistoric creatures everywhere, coelacanths swam in the shallows and a plesiosaur stuck its head out of the warm water, a fish in its needle-like teeth.
Two young spinosaurus frolicked in the warmth of the light waves and a large carnivore devoured a hadrosaur on the sands. It was so warm, I felt as if this wasn't real.
Until I felt the peck of a raven on the top of my head. I could still feel that pain, I shook my head and stood. This, this world was different.
The large tyrannosaur looked up to me, "You look worried, and beaten up, what brings you here?" It spoke to me in a voice as smooth as silk. I cleared my throats and blood was spat out of my mouth, I tasted its copper and smelled it's sickly aroma. "I don't know where here is if I'm being honest, that's why I am so worried." I told her.
She grinned and nodded slowly, she was so calm and she felt very inviting. "I cannot tell you that answer young one," she must have been old, "The answers to your questions lie from a herd of beings, the ones that created this world." Her eyes were bright when she spoke of them.
"Where are they?" I asked, admittedly, impatiently. "Patience, you will have to trek far." She told me, then she closed her eyes briefly, as if remembering something.
"The path, run through the tall grass, pass over the mountain of great Ta'lok, and once you find the shore of this great island, then you will find them. The herd." She had this glazed look in her eyes as she told me this, and it unnerved me a little. "Ok," I said, "Through the tall grass, over the mountain, to the shore, I've got it."
"Good luck, and may you meet many friends along the way." She said, going back to her hadrosaur meal.
As I ran my way down the shore line I thought, maybe it would be easier to follow that route, instead of the one she told me of. No, I shook that thought out of my head, she was too nice to tell me something wrong, I felt it.
I moved through the tree line next to me, dividing the sands and vines that grew from the trees. They smelled so fresh, the flowers on the vines moved as I smashed small bushes underneath my feet. This feeling of being so free. I had forgot everything but this new journey.
