~~This story is #274 for action-adventure?!?! Omg that's insane!! Shall I post more? Hmm...~~
The dry dirt, the small cage, no freedom. It was my past all over again. I got angry, I slammed the wall of the prison I was trapped in over and over again until my shoulder wound bled again.
I felt the rock, the bullet, the farmer shot at me slither it's way down the wound and fall onto the ground. It was a relief, but only a moments relief. The humans opened little doors in my cage.
I was prodded with electrical sticks from the doors, being forced into a new area. A human scientist threw food at me from the crowd of this new place. It was a battle arena, but this time it was much much bloodier.
The rest of the humans joined in, popcorn, sodas, cheeseburgers, and hotdogs, they covered me. I looked straight at the man who started it with my good eye and the humans shrank back in fear. They were nothing.
A dart hit my side. Almost instantly I felt my heart beat slowly, an insane predators beat, something cold, something.. dangerous.
I didn't know why they wanted to do this, see me fight to the death, maybe they enjoyed it? Or maybe I was just something they could throw away.
A metal door opened, and outside stepped a huge creature. Out in the light from the gate opposite of me stood a great triceratops, I had seen it before, its eyes, its posture and demeanor. Pines father.
"They are putting things in me," I growled toward him as another dart hit me and I held back my hunger, my anger. "I don't want to hurt you but they won't stop unless I do." I shook and it felt like something was writhing under my skin like earthworms when it rained, a need.
"Promise me you'll look after my son Reed?" He stated in his booming voice.
Pine must have told him my name because I didn't remember telling him. I opened my mouth to speak but instead I bit down on my tongue and fell on the floor."P-p-romise, lo-o-ok af-re-r-" was all I got out before I stopped convulsing on the ground. The crowd went silent. "Very well then." He said, a deep pain in his eyes that I couldn't see. I couldn't see anything but the color red. It was all red.
My left foot smashed into the ground as I stood up. I put one foot back and tensed my muscles letting out a menacing roar that increased the scientists pleasure. They cheered.
I lost all sight of everything and everyone, I forgot that this was Pines father, all I thought of was the taste. I lunged toward him and he tried to dodge but I grabbed onto his right horn and twisted him around and around. Sure, he was a behemoth, but my bite could crush bone.
And crush it did, I felt his horn snap and I threw it aside and bit down onto his crest as he roared in pain. I loved hearing the pain. The spectating, also captured, dinosaurs watched me from their cages and they roared the word "sadistic."
Maybe I was, because inside I was laughing. Laughing at the blood. I turned behind him as he stood through the pain and launched myself off of a small rock to his left. I bit my teeth down onto his neck, relishing in the red, feeling the muscles contract and convulse. My toe claws dug into his back and I heard his spine crack solidly.
He fell, and I laughed the hardest I'd ever laughed before, everything was so funny all of the sudden. I stood on his jaw, breaking it, and bit into his neck again. With my powerful neck muscles I flicked my head to the side, and he was dead. A snapped neck was the best neck, I laughed, but this time the laugh faded. I took one bite, one juicy morsel, and said to myself in my head, "You killed him, you monster, you laughed."
