~~Sundays are chill days~~

Lightning struck and it continued to rain, it had been raining since the death of my friends, my adoptive father.

As I walked past the ravaged body of the baby triceratops mother I was glad it was hidden in the fog, the baby walked in between my feet, safe from the incoming hail.

I stopped and leaned my head down, which the baby promptly smacked into. "What's your name? I forgot to ask last night." I told him. He replied, in a saddened, gloomy voice, "Pine."

I looked at him in the eye, well, I tried to, he wouldn't stop looking down, maybe he was finally coming to terms that both of his parents were gone. "That was your mother, what happened to your father?" He looked up at me when I asked that, "He.. I don't know." Pine told me.

Hm, that meant maybe he was still alive, maybe we would be able to find him again and I would be able to get rid of him. I preferred being alone, but now I had an extra being to take care of.

Pine left from under my legs and went to a bush to feed. To, feed, my brain went hazy then, even when I thought of the word my mouth frothed and I felt the saliva run down my jaw. My eyes felt heavy with the hunger I felt in that moment.

"REEDDD!!" I heard in the back of my head and I snapped out of my daze to see Pine hiding on the floor in a ball. Below me, a cut on his thigh, and I tasted blood that wasn't mine.

It was oddly not raining anymore.

I looked away and smashed my head into a tree, I was too dangerous. I didn't look at him. "Pine." I said in a dark tone and I heard his head move.

"I need to find food," I told him, "Or I will kill you, and I don't want to do that. OK?" I told him, looking dead into his eyes which were filled of absolute terror. He nodded, "Stay away from trouble and around this area, I will be back and in control of myself. I promise." With that I ran into the forest and I didn't look back for a long time.

Soon, about half an hour away, I found a farm, there was a man there, tending to the corn and minding his own business. A female of the human species was petting a cow and their children ran about. It was disgusting.

I walked out of the tree line, an eighteen foot tall, genetically modified Tyrannosaurus. I must've looked intimidating because that's exactly how I felt in that moment. The man stopped and watched in awe as I strode past him, shaking the puddles of water below and causing ripples in them.

His wife, I assumed, screamed and put her children behind her arms. As if that would protect them. I scoffed to myself and walked past them, my tail almost whipping them in the faces. The cow started to run, but not very fast, I simply turned round and round it until it was exhausted, it tried to butt my face with its tiny horns but it was nowhere near effective.

In the corner of my eye I saw the female shield her children's eyes as I bit down onto the cows neck and split its head from its body. Blood gushed everywhere and my stomach finally felt full. I bit down on the creatures back and ripped a massive chunk out of it, including the fragile bone. I loved the way it crunched on my teeth. All that was left was its bloody legs on the ground. The children cried and the father pulled out something long, dark in color. It exploded in a flash of yellow light and I felt something sink in to my shoulder.

I roared in pain and ran into the forest, blood flowed its way down my side. "Reed! Reed!" I heard a faint cry in the distance, without thinking I ran, I ran so fast, through trees and over a fast flowing river. I instantaneously slammed my jaws down onto a feathery dinosaur and threw it into a tree. I stepped on another with all my might and the last that was harassing Pine was decapitated by my teeth.
