Note: There is some swearing in the chapter, not a lot but just incase anyone really hates swearing there is a little bit in it!
"So you are worried this Prince of Cronos will cause problem? Why? The last knights couldn't even get past Shilver, so what makes you so scared that these guys will." Dustin asked Chloe pacing around the shadows of Solstice.
"Because there is something about that prince that's familiar to me. I wasn't close to any other royal families but I remember Jake. He's a determined knight, he won't stop until Shilver is defeated or he will find another way around him. He's crafty." Chloe said. Dustin groaned rolling his eyes.
"Fine let's go tell our master then about this." He said phasing into the shadows to return to their kingdom with Chloe following behind.
Back at the Castle of Shadows Michael was sitting on the small bed just looking out the window and pulling on the chain slightly. He looked to the door when one of the girls from earlier came in holding a tray of food for Michael. She set it down and looked to the prince.
"I still don't see what our Master sees in you honestly." She said smirking. Michael looked at her getting up.
"What's that suppose to mean..."
"Our Master can have anyone, and he wants a small little prince from a tiny kingdom. If I were him, I'd go after big kingdom princes, but then again, he's the master, so he knows what he's doing." She said to Michael, he looked at the tray of food cautiously. "Don't worry about the food being poisoned or anything, if we wanted to kill you, we would have already. It's just gonna be flavorless since shadow food has no flavors." She explained, so he wouldn't starve, after all, if he dies before SQUIP marries him, then he will kill the three of them. "Eat, I must leave now, your fiancé wants to see us. Bye bye!" She waved snickering enjoying his pain. He walked forward a little before tripping over the chain around his ankle falling onto the shadow girl.
"S-sorry!" Michael said nervously as she pushed him off her dusting herself off angrily.
"You should be! Ugh! He should have picked a less klutzy and stupid prince!" She growled phasing through the locked door. Michael sat on the ground for a minute before smiling, pulling out the small set of keys the shadow girl had on her belt. He quickly tested the smaller key on his ankle cuff and unlocked his leg before going to the door and unlocking it sneaking out, thankful no guards were around his door. He snuck around the castle, until he saw the foyer where the Shadow king was talking with his minions.
"...very well. Go to the woods and make sure you watch Shilver then. We can't have anyone get past him and get to here before my wedding with the prince."
"No one will be able to, he's injured every single person that's even come near him." Madeline said.
"Doesn't matter. It's just an extra precaution Incase someone was able to. Now go gather your gear and leave at once. I just return to planning my wedding." He said.
"Yes Master..." they all said in unison. He left the room thankfully going in the opposite direction from where Michael was. He was about to find a way out before he heard one more small conversation from the other female shadow and the male one.
"Stupid Solstice castle...I think the stain glass I was by was made of Purity glass, because my legs are burning!" She said
"That's why I told you to go through the roof. But nooo take the flashy shadow Exit. Let's go." He said leaving with her. Michael soon started to try and find the exit once more.
Madeline and The others were getting ready to leave, Dustin looked to Madeline.
"Better leave your keys for the princes room and shackles Mads, Incase you drop them."
