Walking down the main stair case to the ball room to see how much has been done and what still needed to be put up"Good morning your highness" a maid greeted bowing before she continued setting up the tables for the food .After I had checked up on everything I went down to the dungeons to see if any rouges have gotten out "have there been any troubles with the in mates" i asked crossing my arms 

"no sir there hasn't" a guard said "alright i want full time watch while my younger sister and brother are here is that understood" i said to the guards "yes your highness" the guards shouted back with that i walked up to my room to get changed for the ball i have never really liked balls my mother just does them to get me out of my room or my study 

i hate it but i guess i wont find my mate any other way but don't tell my mother that she will through one every night if my father didn't stop her i'm rambling now "julius" my father called knocking on my door "yes father" i said raising a brow i have never been close to my parents "the ball is starting in half an hour" father said 

"yes whatever i have to shower first" i said running my hand through my hair "i  know but can you please try and talk to your younger siblings please" father smiled "i thought for most of my life that i was an only child then suddenly find out i have two younger siblings that are what 18 and 20" i growled my eyes glowing blue 

"so what if your mother and i decided not to tell you that you had two siblings we did that to protect you 3 from everyone that wanted you 3 dead so we did what was necessary  alright i'm sorry that it wasn't good enough for you now you are going to get changed and join us before i drag you down there do you understand" father growled before leaving me to my thoughts

i watched my father walk away before i go into the bathroom and turning on the shower i strip my clothes and jump in, it only takes me 10 minutes to shower then get dressed before walking to the ball room that my mother wanted to decorate the room so i left everything to her i will say it looks quit nice 

"just in time your highness everyone is starting to arrive" william smiled standing next to me "i don't care if i'm on time or not" i grumbled as the women started to poor into the room "to bad no one knows you like men not women" william snickered "yeah i just hope there are some men at this ball or i am leaving real fast" i smirked 

i watched the women from the back of the ball room then the men came down the stairs all around my age and some younger then me but i don't give to craps all i know is i am getting laded tonight "good evening sir" a young man with copper brown hair and green eyes smirked walking up to me "hey your self handsome" i smirked back 

"do you have any idea why the king and queen have called this ball" the man asked folding his arms "no clue i'm just here for the men and that's all" i said i couldn't say mate since he is human and not supernatural like most people at the ball

suddenly the smell of roses and leather enters my nose i glance around the ball room searching the room for sent but the damn thing has been everywhere i walk outside to see a young man probably no older then 19 with dark chocolate brown hair and 5ft 9in at the tallest *mate* my wolf growled  "can you please stop staring at me" he asked 

"not going to happen any time soon" i smirked watching him shiver at the sound of my voice "mate" he whispered under his breath but i still heard it "yes that would be what i am to you" i smirked as he turned to face me his blue eyes seem to glow in the night sky "what is your name" he asked taking a step back 

"julius berkmen" i said staying where i was as to not frighten him away " it's nice to meet you julius my name is kai beta to derek anderson" kai said taking a shaky step forward "it's nice to meet you as well kai" i smiled sitting down since i am 6ft7 witch is huge compared to kai "does height run in your family or are you that random guy who is like 7ft tall" kai asked staying where he is 

"i'm only 6ft7 i'm not that tall and yes height runs in the family" i smiled as kai took a step closer "i should get back to my alpha before he starts worrying about where i am" kai said not looking me in the eye "i'm sure that if he needed you he will come find you" i said as derek anderson walked out the open doors 

"there you are kai i was starting to get worried" derek smiled walking over to kai "sorry my agoraphobia struck again" kai said "and what are you doing here shouldn't you be inside getting to know blaire and noah" derek said glaring at me "i think finding my mate will help me a lot more then getting to know two people that i can't even remember " i said glancing at kai 

"kai can you go inside please" derek said glaring at me "ah okay" kai said running inside "so he is your mate" derek asked walking towards me "yes in a matter i am do you have a problem with it" i asked folding my arms "yes there is a problem" he growled standing right in front of me "and what is the problem alpha derek" i asked 

"your mate just happens to be my beta so unless you have a spare beta you wont be getting him" derek growled his eyes glowing red "well guess what you have no say in anything kai does if he wants to stay with you he can for as long as he wants or if he wants to move in with me he can" i smirked as blaire walked outside with noah 

"what is going on here" noah asked as his mate keith i think his name is but i don't care "just a little disagreement" i said as kai stood slightly behind blaire "on what" blaire asked standing next to derek "your mate just saying that kai can't make his own decisions and acting like a child about it" i explained crossing my arms 

"derek stop being an ass whole you have no right to say that now get inside before i decide your sleeping outside oh and it's meant to get below 30 degrees tonight as well" blaire smirked as dereks face paled "i'm sorry baby doll i promise it wont happen again" derek wined befoe walking back inside with his head hung in shame 

"it is up to kai and no one else" blaire huffed crossing her arms "thank you luna" kai whispered looking at blaire "no problem kai if you need anything just let me know" blaire smiled before heading back insode where it's warm "you didn't need to get your luna you know kai i can take derek" i smiled slowly walking up to my mate 

"i didn't want you to get hurt if derek decided to attack" kai whispered looking at the floor "i am grateful that you thought of my safety now lets head back inside before you catch a cold" i chuckled walking next to my soul mate
