Chapter#80 - The Yule Ball Pt. 2

Dany's P.O.V 

He had come over to me and asked me to dance, it wasn't the other way around. He had taken my hand and lead me towards the dance floor, I was enjoying this though, only because it pissed off Granger, but a win is a win and I was going to take it. 

"so have you worked out the second task yet?" I asked him 

"now is that the question that you really want to be asking" he said with a smirk on his face, he was almost as bad as Helena. 

"no, I want to know if you have told anyone" I said 

"well I haven't" he smiled 

"good, because I am not one of them you know, I am not" I said 

"I believe you" Viktor said looking down at me, he was more of a big brother to be, if he was anything to me. 

"that's something, I haven't heard anyone say in a while" I said 

"well, you're not a scary as everyone says, they say you have skin as white as snow and drink people's blood for breakfast, so far only one of them is true, the pale part not the other bit" he laughed, which made me laugh. But that moment was quickly ruined by Granger 

"are you two done?  Can we dance" she asked Viktor.

"yes" he said and quickly broke away from me, I didn't mind really, but  after that I quickly found Mary. 

"hey" she said with a smile 

"hey, I'm sad I didn't get to dance with you" I said grabbing her hand and wrapping my fingers in between hers. 

"it's alright, I'm sure we have more dances to come" she smiled 

"I'm sure we do" I smiled back at her. 

"so did you want to go, this thing goes to midnight" I said 

"can we stay a few more minutes Zayn and the boys are going to perform and he asked me to say and watch" Mary said 

"alright" I said with a weak smile. 

Helena's P.O.V 

Lana stood on the other side of the room talking to Niall, a part of me hated it, why was she even talking to him - they weren't together anymore, I couldn't see a reason why they should talk. I felt myself getting madder and madder by the second. 

"the moon, the sun, the truth" I said to myself over and over again, it was something my werewolf pack taught me - when I was part of one - it calmed us down, don't ask me why or how, it just did.  I took a deep breath in and then out.  I felt a little bit calm now. But I really hated seeing Lana with him, when I was standing right here. How I would always be standing here... waiting for her...I wasn't normally the clingy type, but when it came to Lana I was. I walked over there and put on a fake smile, I looked to Lana and then to Niall. 

"hey" I said 

"hey, you must be Helena, Lana was just talking about you" Niall said 

"oh was she" I said - I was a little shocked about that. 

"yeah I was" she said grabbing my hand. 

"well it was nice meeting you Helena, but I better get on stage" Niall said walking away. 

"what did he want?" I asked 

"it doesn't matter, I don't really care about him any more" Lana said and then kissed me. I kissed her back. 

"what about your sister?" I asked breaking the kiss. 

"is that what you are seriously thinking about right now?" Lana asked with a smile on her face 

"well yeah" I said 

"I know, I get it, maybe we should keep this a secret from her, just for now" she said 

"sounds like a plan" I said kissing her hand. 

Then a voice came over the cheers of the crowd - it was Dumbledore's.

"please put your hands together for One Direction" he said and then he quickly disappeared into the shadows. The teachers were done with the night and were probably going to bed. 

We all faced the stage area, they came out one by one, 

"if anybody would like to grab that special someone and take them to the dance floor, this is the perfect song." Harry said. 

Lana looked to me,  

"we don't have too, but I would like too" she said with a smile. 

"I would love too, but Dany is right over there" I said looking in her direction. 

"so, we avoid her..." Lana said and took me to the dance floor. 

We spend the night, dancing to the songs, avoiding Dany and Mary who were slow dancing, it was very cute I must say. It was just getting later and later.  It got to midnight and Lana and I were some of the last people at the ball, I liked walking back to the Slytherin common room hand in hand, it was nice since none of the other people were in Slytherin so nobody would see us together. We got to the dorm area and we had to go different ways. I looked at her not wanting to go back to the dorm which I shared with Dany, I looked into her bright, beautiful red eyes. I felt a smile come across my face. 

"what are you smiling at?" she asked 

"you, because you're perfect and beautiful, and I don't deserve you" I said as she slowly grabbed my hands and put her fingers in between mine. 

"that not true, you are lovely and beautiful and people just don't see what I see, that sometimes you can actually be nice" she said jokingly,  she playfully slapped me on the shoulder.

"Ouch!" I said with a laugh 

"I was joking, I think that you're wonderful and I know it sound extremely stupid of me to say it but I love you" she said, it caught me by surprise a little bit. 

"I love you too" I said, and I meant it too. I leaned in and kissed her, I wrapped my arms around her not wanting to let her go. Not wanting this moment to end, I wanted to stay like this forever. If we could stay like this forever I would, but like normal all those good moments fade away so quickly. 

"Lana?" said a familiar voice - it was Dany's, Lana quickly broke the kiss and spun around to her older sister, who was looking at us in shock, like she could judge us she was gay too. 

"Lana?" she said again 

"Look Dany you don't understand" Lana said 

"it seems really clear to me" she said, crossing her arms.  

"okay then what do you think is going on?" Lana asked Dany, Lana crossing her arms too. 

"you're sleeping with the enemy, that's what's going on here" Dany snapped 

"I am not sleeping with the enemy Dany! Helena is no enemy of mine, and never will be, you've made up her being your enemy, she has been our friend for over a century" Lana snapped back. I stood behind Lana as if she were some sort of block between me and Dany, I could see in Dany's eyes that she was pissed off, it was the same look she would give me when I use to beat her in races. 

"I can't believe you did this! I thought you were on my side" Dany yelled at Lana, she had tears in her eyes. 

"I didn't betray you Dany! Would you just calm down!" Lana snapped 

"this is the worst thing that you could ever do to me" Dany said and walked back to her dorm.
