Ellique And Lucius

Chapter I

Ellique, a human-like angel, is down in the streets of the Earth searching for evil doers as well as having fun.

"Mister, may I have a slice of this one? And a cup of caramel latté, please" Ellique asked, pointing to the blueberry cheesecake that was displayed on the glass counter.

"That would be $15" the shopkeeper said.

Ellique then handed her a credit card.

"Dine in, miss?"

"Yes" Ellique answered

The shopkeeper nodded, and Ellique sat down on one of the tables. The slice of cake, and the latté was then served to her. She then started to eat her cake.

"Oh! It's delicious" she silently exclaimed

It's been a week since she was sent down to Earth. Nothing was happening evil-like, and she isn't seeing any demons lurking around.

"Waiting around for them is so boring" Ellique silently said to herself

"I've already bought a condo, a husky, and lots of clothes... But they haven't showed up in any of the places I go" she murmured

"Murmuring to yourself doesn't help, miss" Ellique quickly turned her head to where she heard the voice.

It was a guy, maybe just her age, sitting on the chair in front of her. He has platinum blonde hair and a little part of his hair is in the color of raven black. He also had light blue eyes. And only she could see those red bloody wings behind his back.

"He's hot..." Ellique thought "wait! Ellique. No! Ughh"

Ellique already knew he was the one she was waiting for.

"Mister, eavesdropping on other people is bad" Ellique said as the guy took a sip from his black coffee

"Really? But I just wanted to be friends with you" he said as his red velvet muffin was served

"I'm sorry. But I don't befriend people who looks a bit intimidating" Ellique said and drunk her cup of latté down to the last drop.

"I have to go" she said and stood up, leaving a tip on the table "DON'T try to steal that"

Ellique left the café and thought of how to drive away that demon from the face of Earth..

"Kill him? No, that would be a sin. Deceive him? No... That's still a sin. Talk him out of it? That's better, but would a demon even listen?"

"Hey!" Ellique heard that voice again, but she ignored it, still thinking of ways to drive him away from the face of Earth.

She then felt a strong pair of arms pull her, stopping her from walking further. She wanted to thank the lucky stars for having that person save her because there was a car that passed by really speedy. Even though she is immortal, she still feels pain.

But, of course, when she was about to thank the person who saved her, she saw that it was the guy from before.

"Hey, what the?" Ellique complained pushing him away

"Is that your way of saying thank you?" He asked, laughing a little

"Oh.. thank you... But that wasn't necessary for you to do" she said

"I know" he smiled, "I just wanted to save you"

Ellique felt a little tug in her heart that she didn't quite understand.
