Ellique And Lucius

Chapter XII

Third Person's POV

As Lucius explains the details of this and that. Someone knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Ellique shouted.

"Princess, it's dinner time already" a petit voice was heard from outside.

The Princess looked at the clock in the bedroom and it was already 7 pm.

"Alright! I'll be down in a few!" Ellique replied and heard footsteps walking away.

"I should go home, then" Lucius said, and stood up.

"What? No. You should eat here" she said, "Perhaps, even stay for the night"

"Well, I'd love that idea" he said and smirked.

"I knew you would. Now, come on" she said and grabbed his hand.

They head downstairs and onto the dining hall.

"Good evening Mother, Father" The Princess greeted and they greeted back with a smile.

"Good evening, Aunt Kina and Uncle Edward" Lucius greeted, and looked at the table filled with luxuriuos food.

"Hey, where is Lucius' plate?" Ellique angrily asked.

"Hm? Who prepared the table?" The King asked.

"I-It was me, Your Highness" a girl with light brown hair walked forward with a lowered head.

"Why did you not set up a plate for my daughter's fiancé?" Ellique blinked at what my Father said.

"Fiancé?" she blurted out.

"I-I am deeply sorry, Your Highness. I-I didn't know you had a visitor" the girl stuttered, bowing.

"It's fine. You should get him a plate, right now" The Queen said

"Will do, Your Highness" she rushed to the kitchen to grab a plate, spoons, forks, and knives.

"Father, what do you mean fiancé?" Ellique asked as she sat down beside Lucius, and across her Mother.

"You and Lucius are engaged, my dear" he answered, and the two looked at each other with wide eyes.

"This can't be. I can't be bound on Earth. I can't just leave my friends in heaven... I do want to be free, but..." ran in Ellique's mind

"Oh no, this should not be happening. I do want to get married to her, but I can't be stuck on Earth. I still have a throne to take, but... there's my brother anyway..." ran in Lucius' head

"What? Why did I not know of this?" Katherine suddenly asked, Ellique then raised an eyebrow on her.

"You were away when they got engaged" the Queen said.

"Yes. Wait just a minute" the King said and called his personal butler.

He whispered something in his ear and the man bowed and left. Minutes later, he came back, holding a red folder which had the words 'Engagement papers'.

"Here is the proof that Ellique and Lucius were engaged last 12th of July" the King said and took out a paper.

"Wait, I thought she said she came back a year ago? Why wouldn't she know of this?" Ellique asked herself

There printed on it is the names 'Ellaine Mirabella Huxley', and 'Louis Ashton Redford'. They looked at it in horror.

"Dad, that says Ellaine and Louis" Katherine pointed out, which made Ellique look at her in anger.
