Traditional occult practices from around the globe have come together to create the recognized systems of Magic. There are some lost arts about which snatches can be remembered, but the modern Magical community seems to have little need for these remnants of the past. Modern Magic relies heavily on the power inherent within the Witch, rather than a dependence upon Magical tools and charms. An intelligent Witch will not turn her back so quickly on the past. Some Witches still rely on the tools of the trade: the athame, the scrying mirror, and the brazier can all be powerful tools when integrated into modern practice.
