Uncertain Love

Chapter 1

'Amanda! Kyle is here' Jack shouted as I heard the door open downstairs.

'Why does he have to be here again' Josh said as he opened the door to my room. "Common Josh, I thought we've talked this over, You've always known Kyle to be my friend since I was little, he is just a friend to me and nothing more" I replied.

Josh sat at the edge of my bed "I just feel like he is a player. He is just looking for a way to get close to you and  I am sure his intentions are not pure" he said. "I just think that is what you always think about girls" I said as I quickly rise from his side to avoid him hitting me with a pillow.

"What did you say?" he asked.

I quickly changed the topic by opening my wardrobe. "What should I wear, red or black" I asked my brother. "Red suits you better but..."

"have fun but not too much fun" I quickly completed before him. My brother although cool but can sometimes be annoying and a little overprotective. I apply some mascara and lipstick and went downstairs to meet Kyle.

"Goodness, you look stunning, even without the make up" Kyle complimented.

"Thanks" I said shyly even though I've heard lots of such compliments from him. He also looks hot in his blue shirt tightening his body and a pencil pant. His messy hair was cool and his silver eyes shining like a cat's. We both stare into each others eyes for almost a minute but was interrupted by Jack's loud clearing of throat.

"Oh yeah, we running out of time. Let's hit the road or we're gonna be late. And am pretty sure you wouldn't want to miss the party" Kyle said

"You bet" I replied "Bye guys". "Don't stay too long" Josh said. "Don't worry, she's safe with me" Kyle replied. Josh mumbled not satisfied with that but he just went upstairs to his room after saying goodbye. Kyle and I started gisting as we move out of the house.

At the party
Loud music is being played and every step you take, you will see teenagers making out, drinking, chatting, or dancing. We moved towards the kitchen, took a wine and start sipping our drink while chatting.

"...Josh appeared from no where and punched him in the nose" we both laughed. "That serves him right. I wish I was there, I would have taught him a lesson he would never forget" Kyle replied.

I was telling Kyle about the guy who was forcing me to kiss him during summer vacation when I and my brothers went to the beach. Although, Jack wasn't there with us cos he had to take summer school.

You might be wondering I haven't mentioned anything yet about my mom, well, it's actually because she is a very busy woman. She had been like that ever since she and my dad divorced. Long story. Ever since then, she hardly stay at home. I was snapped out of my thought with my brother's voice "Hey, baby Sis, enjoying the party?" Josh said putting his hands across my shoulder, "I thought you said you weren't coming" I queried. "Is that your way of telling me how excited you are to see me" he joked. I shrugged.

"Where's Jack, cos there is no way you would be at a party without him" I asked. "He is with his girlfriend" he replied sipping my drink. "Oh, I guess he finally got over Jane" I said.

"What do you mean, he's with Jane, of course" Josh replied.

"At the party? cos the Jane I know will never attend this kind of party" Kyle said. "Of course not dumbass, at home" Josh fired back. "Wait, I don't understand, Jack brought that bitch back in the house after all she's done?" I said angrily. I dislike Jane for lots of reason.

First, her taste is high. She's the reason my brother had to take summer school. She's always demanding money and other expensive stuff from him and when he couldn't afford it and didn't want to lose Jane, he had to apply for an after school job which affected him in his studies.
Secondly, she's a slut. I've seen her flirting with almost every guy in the school and yet my brother wants to stick with her.

"What do you mean, Jane's Hot' he chuckled. Then, a girl passed beside us and Josh whistled. The girl looked back and wink at him and started moving swinging her hips "Holy shit! he emptied my cup "Give me a minute" he said and followed the girl. Kyle and I laughed at this. "That's Josh for you" I said still laughing.

Around 1am in the midnight
"Amanda, let's get going" Kyle said. "Yeah, but I can't find Josh anywhere here" I said worried. "But Josh can find his way home?" he said. "How can you say that, I know he can handle himself but Josh like drinking alcohol, I'm afraid he's not going to be himself, please let's search for him" I pleaded. "Okay" he said.

We both searched for Josh and later saw him with a different girl, drunk.

"Hey, get off him" I shouted. She was unbuttoning his shirt. "Hey, chill alright and who are you by the way" the girl asked.

"Crap. Just think of me as your worst nightmare." I said as I button his shirt back. "Hey, you can't take him away from me like that" the girl held Josh as Kyle dragged him up.

"Sorry dear, we just did" he said as he put Josh's arm across his shoulders helping Josh's unconscious body.

We went out of the party with me putting Josh's other arm across my shoulders, we saw my mom's car outside. Well, everyone except me uses her car.

"Can you drive?" I ask Kyle. "I can manage" he replied. We opened the passenger's seat and placed Josh there. We were about to close the door when he held Kyle's hand. "Babe, please kiss me" he said and slept back. "Ew!" I and Kyle laughed. I searched his pocket and saw the key. I handed it over to Kyle. I sat beside the driver seat and he started the engine.

Hope you like my first chapter, short though, but it's for a start.
