Chapter 5

Finally, the bell I had been waiting for to get out of this hell hole.

I dashed out of the class and went straight to my locker to drop the books I don't need and pick the ones I need.

"Hi princess" a voice said and I knew exactly who it is.

"Hi seb" I replied looking up and smiling at him.

"um... I was thinking if... " he said scratching the back of his neck.

"um... If u have a ride home" he completed.

"Uh... No" I replied quickly without thinking of Kyle.

"Okay, good. I'll meet you in the parking lot in 2" he said sounding happy. "I'll see you there then" he said taking my hand and kissing the back of it. "Princess" he said staring into my eyes for a while before jogged off. Leaving me standing there blushing.

I was too stunned by what Sebastian did to notice Kyle who was standing in front of me and waving his hand in my face to bring me back to life.

"Oh Kyle, you're here" I said. "Yeah for like 30 seconds and what was that all about" he said somehow furious.

"What was what all about" I say trying to deny. "Was that the guy you told me about" he asked now a bit calm.

My silence gave him the response he wanted which means Yes.

"You know what? Forget it. I know you just don't want to talk about it yet" Kyle said placing his hand on my shoulder.

How can he understand me easily like I'm an open book.

"Let's just go home" he said.

"What?" I say now remembering I already asked Kyle for a ride home.

"I mean your home" he said in a duh tone

"Uh... Actually, plan's changed Kyle" I said trying to form a lie in my head. I feel very bad lying to him but I know the truth will hurt him

Like will I tell him Sorry Kyle the reason I'm not going with you is because Sebastian asked me and I want to go with him?

"What plan" he asked.

"Uh... Mr. Cowell asked me to come see him before going home" I said.

"Well, I just saw Mr. Cowell drive out" he said pointing to the direction of the gate behind him.

Quick Amanda, look for a cover up lie

"He asked me to wait for him in his office that... That he'll meet me there" I said quickly

That's a good one. I just hope Kyle won't say something like 'but his office is locked'.

Seriously my grandma told me not to lie that when you say just one lie, you'll have to think of 99 more lies to make it 100.

"Okay, we'll wait for him together then" Kyle said

Wait? What?!

"No, I can manage and by the way didn't you have an interview by 4, you should hurry or you're gonna be late" I said

He looked at his wristwatch "Oh shit! Thanks Amanda, sorry I couldn't wait with you" he said giving me a quick kiss on my forehead and dashed away.

I breathed out. The breathe I didn't know I was holding. Kyle is such a pain in the ass. A cute pain in the ass.

I smiled as I walked to the parking lot. Sebastian was pacing around his car.
