I walked into the house hoping my mom was not around. I was too pissed to even stand her at the moment. How dare she tell me to tutor Austin? Since when does he need a tutor? I walked to my room and opened the door.
I couldn't believe my eyes. My room was messed up and my mom still continued to mess it up. She was taking my clothes out from the wardrobe and throwing them onto the floor. My lotions and sprays were all rolling on the floor and I just couldn't understand a thing.
"Mom, what are you doing?"
I asked walking inside. She just continued throwing my clothes onto the floor.
"Mom, stop it."
I said grabbing her right arm angrily. What was wrong with her?
"Why are you doing this mom?"
I asked refusing to cry.
"Where did you take it you brat? Where is it?"
She asked shaking me angrily.
"What are you talking about?"
I asked her all so confused. I don't remember taking anything of hers.
"My bottles of liquor bitch. And my money. Where did you put them? Answer me."
She demanded still shaking me violently. I didn't take anything of hers. Why would I even take her money?
"I didn't take anything of yours mom. I promise."
I said honestly and she slapped me hard. Before I could even adjust to the pain she pushed me on the edge of the bed harshly. That was enough to make me cry. I couldn't take all of this. It was too much.
"Don't you dare lie to me. If it wasn't you then who took my liquor bottles and money?"
She asked grabbing my school bag. She opened it and took the few notes that were in.
"This is my money Alice. How dare you?"
She asked walking towards me. She scares me when she is in this condition. I hate to admit it but sometimes I'm just so scared of my mother. She is a different person when she's in this state. She slapped me hard again before pushing me on the edge of the bed with much more force than before.
"I need a drink. I need a drink. I need a drink."
She kept muttering to herself as she exited my room.
I sat down on the floor leaning on my bed for support. I couldn't help myself from crying. The tears just kept falling even when I wanted then to stop. Will my mom ever be the same woman she was again? Is she that addicted to drugs and alcohol that she'll always be this violent towards me?
"Ali."
A voice pulled me out of my own emotions. There was only one person who called me that. But it can't be him. It just can't. I looked up to see Austin standing at the door staring at me. I stood up and ran to the bathroom quickly closing the door.
What was he doing here? At my house? And Lord did he really have to find me in this condition? Crying and feeling so vulnerable? The tears kept flowing until I couldn't cry anymore.
"Why is this happening to me Lord? Just why father?
I mumbled in between my sobs.

I walked back into my room and remembered just how messed up it was. I took a shower after crying my heart out. I picked up my clothes and placed them on the bed. I took a denim short and wire it. I paired it with a white blouse printed 'Awesome' in block letters.
I picked up my cosmetics that were scattered on the floor and packed them on their usual table. I placed some clothes on their hangers and hung them in the closet. It didn't take me much time to tidy up my room it was back to it's normal state after a while.
I left my room and walked downstairs just to find Austin sitting on one of the sofas inside the sitting room with his feet on top of the table.
"What are you doing here Austin?"
I asked standing in front of him. He was busy on his phone and he put it away as soon as I spoke. He stared at me for a while and I rolled my eyes at where he was staring. At my legs.
"If I knew I'd find you here I surely wouldn't have worn this."
I muttered.
"I didn't say anything."
He said amusement evident in his voice.
"So what are you doing here?"
I enquired again.
"Tutoring lessons."
He said simply and I folded my arms against my chest.
"And who exactly will be giving you tutoring lessons Austin?"
I asked.
"You obviously. Do you see anyone else here?"
He said in a duh tone and I glared at him. There he was in Mrs Finn's office calling me an asshole and now he says I am going to tutor him?
"And what makes you think I'm going to do that?"
"Because if you don't agree we'll both be staying at school for summer break. We both don't want that now or do we?"
He said calmly.
"And I thought you were too smart to even be tutored. I'm glad your ego still let you admit you need my help, to improve your grades."
I said with a smug look.
"Shut up now will you?"
I just chuckled and made my way to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and took two cans of soda and a some cookies.
"It's not like my grades are low because I'm not smart like you put it. Only because-"
"You skip classes and attend some only when you feel like it because you spend most of your time making out with Ashley or some other girls in the closet, gymnasium door, unused classes and the library."
I finished his statement throwing him one can of soda.
"Gosh you had me investigated."
He said chuckling. Did I even say something funny?
"Investigated my arse. I just know the kind of things bad boys are usually involved with."
I responded taking a sip from my soda.
"I'm sure I'm not that bad or else you wouldn't be standing there saying sensible stuff. If I was as bad as you say I am then you'd be moaning my name right now Ali."
He said with a smirk and I rolled my eyes in response.
