"Can you just focus for once Austin?"
I said to him and he finally looked away from his phone.
"Here I am trying to help you gain something while you're there doing God knows what."
I said totally pissed.
"Hey, don't go all Hattson on me. I was just replying a text."
He said putting away his phone. We were in my room and I've been teaching him how to solve some quadratic equations.
"Okay, now do this. Exercise one and two before we move on so I know that you fully understand."
"I understand, let's just move on."
He said in a lazy tone.
"Just do it."
I insisted and he just groaned. He started doing it anyways. I watched him as he solved the equations and smiled when he got all of them right.
My phone beeped and I stood up to go get it from the table next to the wardrobe. I unlocked it and realised it was an email. It was from my aunt, a sister to my mom. It's been long since we've been in touch. I opened the email.
Came over today, took the liquor bottles and Faith's money. I placed the money in one of the kitchen drawers. I knew she wouldn't check and I needed to make sure she couldn't buy any more alcohol. Hope everything's fine. Much love.
I froze at how the email read but quickly regained myself knowing Austin was around. So aunt Bella took the stuff. She prolly didn't find mom inside. She did it with the intention of helping her sister so I can't blame her.
"Everything fine Ali?"
Austin asked.
"Jeah."
I answered simply.
I typed a quick reply.
Everything's fine aunt. Thanks for coming around. Send my regards to Mason.
Mason is her son. He used to visit sometime but it has been long now since I've seen him.
With that I walked back to the bed. I checked his work and he did everything right.
"Great now we can move on."
I said with a smile paging through the textbook.
"You're bleeding."
Austin said and I looked at him.
"I am?"
I asked him confused.
He just held my wrist and lifted my arm so I could get to see my elbow. I was truly bleeding. I must've gotten this when mom pushed me to the edge of the bed. But I didn't even notice it when I was bathing. If it wasn't hurting before it sure is now.
"I didn't notice but it's fine. I'll just get a plasta."
I said standing up. I got the first aid and went back to sit on the bed. I took the cotton but Austin took it from me.
"I'll do it."
He said and I just kept quiet. He dipped the cotton into the antiseptic container and started to clean my wound.
"Ouuuccchhh!"
I exclaimed and he removed the cotton from the wound.
"C'mon don't be such a baby."
He said and continued cleaning the wound.
"You are only saying that because you're not the one with the wound."
