“I have all your things sent to the Head’s Quarters. “ Professor McGronagall spoke as we made our way to the quarters.
Malfoy and I were standing beside each other with professor McGronagall in front of us. Her purple robe dragging from behind but it still flowed along as she made each step. Torches illuminated the eerily looking corridors and the moon shined brightly on the cloudless night sky. If I wasn’t in Hogwarts I would be sitting on the tree in the back of our yard and just stare at the sky.
“Enjoying the sky Paige?” Malfoy breath touched the back of my ear. I shivered with the sudden contact and realized he was close to me.
“Ever hear of personal space?” I retorted. He backed away instantly upon realizing how close he was to me.
“Yes I have but invading your space was the only way to snap you back into reality.” He explains with a smirk.
What the hell is he talking about? I knitted my eye brows in confusion but then the professor’s voice echoed through the halls. Causing Malfoy and I to turn to her. She was standing a few feet away from us and she was looking at us with her spectacles resting on the bridge of her nose. How did the Professor McGronagall get way over there? Then it hit me. I was standing in front of the window and I was not moving.
“Care to join us Miss Paige?” Professor McGronagall asked as she raised an amused eyebrow.
“Sorry Professor.” The blush just crept on my cheeks and I looked down continuing my way to her with Malfoy beside me.
As we walked down the corridor I saw some paintings I didn’t recognized. Where are we? This floor wasn’t familiar to me. This whole corridor is different, I know how to go to the Head’s Quarters and this floor wasn’t one of its routes.
“Profe-“
“The Head’s Quarters was destroyed and that part of the castle is still in renovation. So we are going to use the old quarters.” She explained.
“The old quarters?” I questioned. I never knew there was an old on.
“Yes, Miss Paige. This quarters is my home for a year.” She adds. I was pretty sure she was reminiscing.
Finally we stopped on a dead end wall. But the wall was decorated with a huge painting in a golden carved frame. In the painting was a young man sitting on a bench looking sad and defeated.
“Good evening Marco.” Professor McGronagall greeted with a small smile.
The man who was seated on the chair looked up and tried to muster up a small smile. He stood up and took a small bow. Marco had dark curly hair and jade colored eyes but it wasn’t twinkling with happiness rather it was plain and I could see the emptiness in them. What’s wrong with him?
“Hello Menirva.” He smiles much genuinely that before. I could see deep and cute dimples appear. Marco was handsome yet it feels like his whole word came crushing down.
