<(Y/n)'s POV>

Note: From this point on they're speaking Japanese unless I say otherwise

It's been a few months since I discovered my quirk. The day after I discovered it I felt like I'd been hit with a bag of bricks. I used my power and hurt someone, bad. I took that man's hand, with hardly a thought. I knew I'd need to get some sort of control over my quirk before U.A. so I trained as best I could while alone, I don't want to hurt anyone else.

Sara and I travelled with Uncle Reggie to get to Japan where we're supposed to meet All Might, who says he has a place for me to stay. Since Sara had made prior arrangements she was fine. When we landed I saw Toshinori in his normal form, next to him was a boy our age, he was rather plain-looking, excusing his green hair.

"Toshinori!" Reggie's loud voice caused me to jump as he opened his arms wide and wrapped them around Toshinori in a vice grip. Sara approached the green-haired kid and I followed behind.

"Name's Sara Rowe!" Sara stuck her hand out for him to shake. "I can do cool things with light!" The boy's face became bright red as if he wasn't used to talking to girls, maybe he wasn't. "Call me Sara."

"Give him a break," I place my hand on her shoulder before turning to face the boy and bowing my head. "(Y/n) Rowe, just call me (Y/n)." He seems to recover from his state of shock and bows his head similar to how I had bowed my own.

"Izuku Midoriya!" Before we could continue our conversation Reggie and Toshinori walked up to us.

"Young Midoriya, young (Y/n)," Toshinori nods to each of us in turn. "I was hoping that you and your mother might be willing to allow (Y/n) to stay with you while in Japan for U.A.."

Izuku seems taken aback by the idea and doesn't respond with coherent words. "You really don't have to. I'm sure I can find someplace to stay."

"N-no," Izuku calls our attention before Toshinori can respond. "I'll have to talk to mom, but I'm sure you can stay."

"You really don't-," I don't get to finish as Toshinori smacks his hand against my back.

"I'm sure you two will hit it right off!" He then steps in front of me to talk to Midoriya. "I must take young Sara to the location she will be staying. If you could show (Y/n) around I would appreciate it."

After we all separated it was just Izuku and I walking, it was relatively silent as we walked. "You really don't need to do this."

"I-it'll be fine," Izuku reassures me. "I'm sure." The rest of our walk was uneventful and we eventually arrived at a set of four apartment buildings and made our way to Izuku's door. He opened the door and called out, "mom! I'm home."

A woman with hair a similar color to Izuku's stepped into view. She was short, but the resemblance between the two was undeniable. "Who's your friend?" She came over to me at almost inhuman speeds and began to look me up and down.

"(Y-y/n) Rowe," I stuttered out, uncomfortable with her scrutinizing gaze.

"He's from America and he'll be going to U.A. with me," Izuku began. "I was wondering if it'd be okay for him to stay here, at least for a little while?"

"Well," for a moment I thought she was going to kick me out then and there. "Why didn't you just say so?" She had a large smile on her face that made me let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding in. "We just need to figure out where you'll be staying," she looked off to the side as if deep in thought.

"No reason to put yourself out," I interrupted her thinking. "I'll just take your couch if that's okay."

"Nonsense! You're a guest and there's no reason for you to be sleeping on the couch." She seemed adamant. This woman was kind, I'd just met her and I knew.
