That was a good book
Ashley nodded and put the book back on the shelf. Strolling to her kitchen, she prepped a quick hot chocolate and sat down, turning on the TV. It wasn't absolutely interesting but she had nothing to do. No classes that week meant that the job that she had to was more or less complete.
Nothing today?
"No, not today. The schedule's free, I don't have classes the whole week, so I'm clear to do anything" She pondered for a moment, and picked up the phone. Ashley hadn't checked up on her friends in a while and they were due for a cinema trip together.
Who are these friends of yours?
You'll see, they are awesome!
She searched through her contacts and went to the group chat, where her friends were already active, talking amongst themselves about anything and everything.
Alissa- So, you lot know...
Brie- Yes, we all know about you and Jayden
Jess- OMG, you broke up?!
Ashley is online
Ash- Hold on, broke up when?!
Ashley had been so preoccupied with work, she forgot that Alissa's relationship with local hotshot Jayden was on the rocks. She had constantly had a sneaking suspicion that they wouldn't last that long, only keeping it to herself in interest that she was to be proved wrong.
Alissa- TWO DAYS AGO! HE CHEATED!
Jess- He did WHAT?
Ash- I'll get the knife, Brie can get the body bag, Jess can distract the police and Alissa can watch.
Brie- Good idea, but I don't feel like spending life in jail thanks.
Jess- Preach it, sister!
Ash- Fine... I'll leave my ideas for a book then. Instead, we should do a movie night! Cinema anyone?
The replies were unanimous, agreement across the chat. Ashley hummed and flicked through her movie list, the ones she'd been dying to see.
Help me here, I'm thinking of seeing Deadpool, Avengers: Infinity War or Thor: Ragnarok.
There was a short pause before she got the symbiote's response. Trying to pick from something you'd never heard of would definitely take time.
I've never seen a 'movie' but Thor: Ragnarok sounds good.
Thanks, big guy!
-
Ash- Alright, how about Thor: Ragnarok?
Brie- Hell yes!
Jess- OMG YES
Alissa- Perfect!
Ash- Then we'll meet at 5 pm at the cinema, ok?
Brie- Deal!
-
She grinned to herself and turned off her phone, immediately making a beeline for her wardrobe. Pulling out her pitch black leather jacket, a gold and crimson tank top, black ripped jeans and black timberlands she changed out of her hoodie and shorts combo and left them on her bed neatly.
The girls met outside the cinema and made their way inside to buy snacks for the movie. It wasn't cheap, which came as no surprise to the group. Grabbing everything and entering the theatre, they took their seats.
"Thanks for this girl" Alissa smiled, brushing her long lilac hair out of her face. Ashley grinned and hugged the girl beside her, winking.
"Girl, anytime. Just hope I get to give that fucker a black eye and kick him where the sun doesn't shine soon" Brie and Jessica only shook their heads, grinning inwardly, with Brie mumbling 'That sadistic girl, man....' to herself. They giggled and hushed as the movie started to play.
The end-credits scene finished and the girls made their way out, all giddy. They walk in line to the car park, Jessica had offered to drive everyone home. A choked sob that ended with deranged laughter stopped them in their tracks.
"The fuck...? Behind me, now" Ashley ordered, and the girl's hurriedly followed suit. Slow steps revealed an unwelcome familiar face. The face of a certain male that Ashley and Jess were ever so close to beating in.
Who is this boy?
Jackson...
She seethed mentally, cracking her knuckles. He let out a short laugh when he saw the girls, only tilting his head to smile. If Ashley didn't know any better, Jackson looked like he belonged in a facility.
"Hello there, is Allison with you, by any chance?"
