"V-Venom?!" She yelled into the empty apartment. There was no one there with her, right?
I'm right here Ashley, and no, you're not crazy.
Jumping out of bed, she made a dash for her bathroom and washed her face. This was not a normal day for Ashley. Dragging her feet, he made herself a half-ass breakfast compared to her usual. Her kettle boiled and she poured her hot chocolate and grabbed a chocolate cereal bar.
Chocolate?
"Yeah? I couldn't be asked to make anything. I had a migraine, because of you!" Complaining to the entity residing inside her, she heard it scoff. Shaking her head, she washed her cup and took her meds for the day. Her clothes needed to go in the wash, so she strolled into her room, took off her clothes and exchanged them for a tank top and ripped jeans. Throwing the clothes she was wearing yesterday in the wash, she walked to the door to grab the mail from the morning.
Don't open that door, Ashley.
"What? It's not like someone stalked me yesterday." She rolled her eyes, reaching for the door handle. Before she could turn the handle, the door flew off the hinges. Ducking as fast she could, men and women in black suits ran in with guns pointed at her head.
"You stole something from our labs yesterday, Miss Barren. A symbiote. We will have to take it back, by force if necessary " The brunette, who stormed in, demanded.
Told you.
Ashley backed into a corner, her hands shaking. Looking beside her, a fairly tanned male was pointing a handgun toward her.
I'll just deal with them, incompetent girl.
I'm sorry, what'd you call me?!
Incompetent.
She frowned, as her body started to move on its own. She grabbed the gun and threw it over towards the wall. They advanced forward and Venom took full control, smashing a vase over the brunette's head, and launching her against the wall. Storming over, they grabbed the last man by the throat, lifted him and punched him repeatedly and throwing him down onto the coffee table.
Hey! I liked that table!
We can get a new one.
Ashley collapsed onto the couch, sighing heavily as she took into account the destruction to her apartment caused by her violent symbiote. Her table was broken, there was a dent in her wall and broken ceramic on the floor.
"Dammit Venom! I can't pay for all of this, my income doesn't let me buy stuff like this all the time!" Sighing her frustrations out, she started clearing the debris and emptying it into the trash.
How old are you?
Eighteen, but it's none of your business
Ashley was confused, why would Venom try to make small talk after destroying part of her apartment? Shaking it off, she skimmed through her shelves and found a book she hadn't read in a long time.
What is this activity called?
"Reading, Venom. It's called Reading. People write stories and others read them. This one's really good." She paused and heard a hum in acknowledgement. "Well, this has been a strange morning, hasn't it?"
Yes it has.
