The ride back home was full of awkward silences. Brie was still processing what in hell had just happened.
"So... you have a symbiote? What is that?" Jessica questioned. Ashley grinned, shook her head and laid on Jess's shoulder. This is comfortable I know.
"About the symbio-"
"Discuss later, I'm tired" Was Ashley's swift response. Jess nodded and dropped the question. The car ride to Brie's house was surprisingly calm. Brie pulled into her driveway and Jess nudged a sleeping Ashley.
Jess and Ash were sharing a mattress and Brie and Alissa were on the bed. Ash knocked out as soon as she changed, wasting no time.
The morning was bright, the sun blaring through the gaps in the curtain. The light hit Ash and she woke up, groaning and shielding her eyes. Jess bounced and opened the curtains enthusiastically. "Morning ladies!"
"Shut the damn curtains!!" Everyone yelled, at once. No one was a morning person, apart from Jessica. It's too bright. I know. "Girls, Venom wants the curtains closed"
There was a pause, then the curtains closed again. Jessica didn't want an angry 'symbiote' against her. That better big guy? Much better. "I'll make breakfast"
Ash had pancakes, omelettes and hot chocolates prepared in half an hour. They added chocolate to satisfy Venom. Tasting the meal, she smiled then called the girls. "I'm done!"
"Damn Ash! When did you get this good?" Allisa complimented, finishing off her breakfast in minutes. The plates were emptied soon after and Jess washed up. "Can you tell us how you even met... Venom?"
"Remember that photoshoot job I told you about? Basically, took the photos left but I found a lab, went inside, felt the outside and he latched onto me"
"Cool, but also kinda creepy though" Brie mused. Allisa hummed and hugged Ashley. She pulled back and smiled.
"Thanks for dealing with my ex, you too Venom" She's nice. Appreciative. Yeah. Ashley giggled then went to the garden and laid on a towel on the grass. She was lucky that Venom had taken a liking to her, otherwise, he'd be a headache. We just have similar interests. Yeah, apart from eating people. She shuddered, that taste wouldn't get out for a long while.
"Talking to the man upstairs?" Brie teased, laying beside her best friend of 7 years. Ash nodded and rested her head on Brie's shoulder. When did you meet these people? Ash chuckled and sat up, running her hand through her hair. You'll get your answer, hold up"Yo Brie, remember how the four of us met? Big guy wants to know and I can't be asked to explain"
Oh shit! I have a class later! Better run then.
