Ruels POV
I take in a deep breath and let out a nervous smile to Reece. She dukes back in response before pulling on my tie and fixing it up. I'm so nervous the arias are today and I'm freaking out. I feel Reece's hands go to my hair and smooth down my curtains before places her hands on my face and staring into my eyes with her emerald green ones.
"Calm down Ruel, you'll be amazing whether you win or not." She tells me with a smile. I nod my head and pull her in closer to me, feeling her warm breath against my chest.
"I still can't believe your not gonna be my date for tonight" She gives me a sad smile and opens her mouth to speak, " It's for better Ruel we don't want your fans to coke after us and the media to ruin your image and more importantly ruin us." I sigh in reponse and place my lips against hers softly.
"Ruel we need to go!" My dad yells as I pull away and hug her one last time, before she helps me out on my jumper and make me look presentable with the help of Jeremy.
An hour later I'm stepping out of the car and walking down the carpet with my anxiety at a high. I force a smile on my face as I wave to everyone I walk past and eventually my nerves calm down and I find myself enojoying the carpet, the interviews and the paparazzi.
I hear my name being called by some fans and rush over to hug them. I take pics with them and talk to them for a while before heading into the awards ceremony and taking my seat.
Reeces POV
Coco, Sylvie and I make our way into the theatre and take our really bad seats at the very back of the venue. We sit and talk for a while, keeping an eye out for celebrities and for Ruel.
" I still can't believe these are the seats we got! I mean our little brother is front row and here we are!" Coco says in annoyance as Sylvia and I laugh.
"Anyway the shows starting now so let's quiet down." Sylvia says and we all shut up and listen.
I look down to see Ruels familiar mop of brown hair and smile, then proceed to text him.
Ruels POV
I open my phone and see the text from Reece,
*i love you Ruel and when you win you can expect to hear me say I TOLD YOU SO! Xx*
I don't notice the huge grin take over my face and let out a chuckle, I wish she could be sitting beside me right now. I swallow my nervous breath and wait patiently for my section.
An hour later I'm still sitting down and waiting for the breakthroughs artist category, until I see Troye walk up to the stage and hear him announce it. My nerves and anxiety take over and o try to control my breathing as he announces the nominees myself included. I sit with a nervous smile as he calls out the winner, only to hear my name being called out. I stand up as everyone screams and congratulates me, I pull my dad into a hug and start to walk up the stairs and toward the stage, I thank troye and give him my trophy to hold as I pull out my palm cards and begin to speak.
"I would like to thank...." I say my speech in the shortest way possible and everyone cheers for me before I say one more thank you,
" Thank you guys so much! My girlfriend is going to go crazy and tell me I told you so Ruel!..." I realise what I have said and let our a nervous smile and feel myself go red as everyone curiously starts to call out from the audience and ask who my mystery girl is. I say thank you one more time and walk back to my seat where my team are giving me nervous looks. I take a seat and let out a deep breathe before internally screaming Fuck in my mind.
Reece's POV
As soon as those words exit Ruels mouth all I can say is,
"Well fuck"
