Chapter Five: Labor

9 weeks later

I met Willowshine at the clearing. I told her Ivypool had her kits this morning and she yowled and said "Here ours come!" She collapsed and I ran over and said "What do I do?" She replied in gasps "Push every time i get a contraction. It will feel like a ripple." I nodded and felt a contraction. I pushed and a kit slid out. I pushed it to Willowshine and she licked it clean.Then she pushed one out without help. I licked it. She yowled and two slid out at once. She stopped and licked all the kits except the one I had. I told her to lay still. I got the herb packet she brought and gave it to her. "Whats in here?" "A strengthening herb. And one that...... stops my milk from coming." I nodded and said "Save those for later, lets name them! We have two toms and two she-kits." One was a blue-gray color with dark gray tiger stripes, we named her Tigerkit. Another looked just like Willowshine, except with a black stripe running down his spine, named Blackkit. Then the two that came out together curled together. One looked like Willowshine and one looked like me. We named the one that looks like Willowshine,Shinekit and the one that looks like me, Stripekit. I licked her ear and sighed "Lets take them to Thunderclan,ok? I will tell them your they're mother when i think they're old enough. I will tell them when you're there." She nodded and picked up Shinekit and Stripekit while i got Tigerkit and Blackkit.
