Percy's POV

Herbology was fun. A bit boring sure, but fun. I had it with Annabeth which made it ten times better. I had gotten a letter from my mom this morning that told me she was expecting and that it was a girl. I was so excited and Annabeth had been too.

At the time, I was walking with Will, Hazel, and Frank to Potions. I had heard that the teacher was really biased and not very good, but I tried to have an open mind about the class.

Harry Potter and his friends were already there with Jason, Nico, Thalia, and Leo. Nico looked a little shaken and we walked over to see if we could find what was wrong.

"He's annoying, I know, but you need to control your temper," Jason was saying to Nico.

Will overheard this and came over and started helping to calm Nico down. Hazel was helping too and Frank and I got the story from flying from Leo.

"He is seriously that bad?" Frank asked, "He saved the world and now he's being a complete nuisance." I knew what he meant. The dude had to have gone through some stuff, but that is no reason to be rude to others.

I frowned as Harry came over to us with Hermione. "You're all going to fail this class. It's sad to think that I could have helped you, but you're just to annoying for that," Harry said, pretending to not notice us standing there. I balled up my fist and Will came up next to me.

Before we could respond the door to the to the classroom opened and a voice I hadn't heard in a long time said, "Potter, Dumbledore said to leave the Americans alone and to treat them like everyone else. They are younger than you. Lead by example, and 5 points from Gryffindor for your behavior."

Will, Nico, and I jumped around to see a very familiar face. "Sevy?" I asked confused. He turned toward me and smiled slightly.

"Mr. Jackson, it is Professor Snape to you," He said, giving me a look that said we'd talk later. Then he turned and swept into his classroom, the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff first years following behind him.

Will and I sat together, Hazel and Frank were in front of us. Nico and Thalia were to our left and Jason and Leo were to our right. Professor Snape was at the front.

I should probably explain how we know Snape. He's a demigod son of Hecate. He came to camp every summer until after the battle of the labyrinth. Then he just disappeared. We all thought he had died, but apparently he was just here living with a whole bunch of wizards.

I zoned out of the beginning of the lesson and found myself almost nodding off. Will slapped me in the back of the head and I looked up at the front of the classroom. Sevy was writing out instructions on how to brew a cure for the boils potion and told us all to start working. All the demigods pulled out their books except Frank who just read the board.

It wasn't that hard. I ended up going with my instincts instead of following the book because the books instructions didn't sound right.

At the end of class, Snape went around looking grim. He stopped at Harry's potion, "What is this Mr. Potter?" He snapped

"A cure for the boils potion." Harry snapped back. Snape didn't seem to like that and I knew for sure that Harry's potion was not a cure for anything.

"Mr. Potter 5 points from Gryffindor for your incompetence. You learned this seven years ago and it has seemed to have gotten worse." Snape kept walking and barely nodded at Hermione's potion which was almost perfect but not quite. I guessed that I could tell because it was a type of liquid.

Ron's potion was pitiful and Snape ended up taking another 5 points from Gryffindor. I felt bad because from what Leo had said, Ron had tried to stand up for Nico during flying. I'd have to talk to Snape about it.

Jason and Leo were the next two. Leo's potion was in almost worse shape than Harry's. It was spewing green liquid and had a terrible smell. Leo was grinning from ear to ear and looked like he had done poorly on purpose. Snape just looked insulted then looked over at Jason's.

Jason's potion was pretty much perfect and Snape just nodded his head at Jason and walked off.

Hazel and Frank were next. Both of their potions were incorrect but neither were as bad as Leo's.

Will's was pretty close to perfection and Snape said, "To bad, you were pretty close Mr. Solace. So far best in the class." Will blushed and shrugged. I guessed his was done on instinct too. It was a cure for an illness. It was probably a son of Apollo thing.

Snape's eyebrows raised as he looked at the pink smoke rising from my cauldron. "Have you ever brewed this potion before, Mr. Jackson." I knew that he knew that I hadn't but I just shook my head. "Well then beginners luck I suppose because your potion is perfection, 10 points to Hufflepuff." All the Hufflepuff first years turned and smiled at me and Will gave me a pat on the back.

Professor moved on and Nico and Thalia's were both pitiful.

We left potions and parted ways with the Gryffindors because we were heading to Charms and they were headed to Transfiguration with Ravenclaw. As we split I yelled back to Thalia, "Tell Annabeth hi for me." I watched her nod and make a face then turn back around to head to class. One more class till lunch, I thought before turning around and following Hazel to Charms.
