Hermione's POV

I was getting a little bored of being eleven again. Sure being able to taunt the boys because I was actually taller was fun. Knowing that magic existed was another big plus, but ugh the looks on everyone's faces when a whole bunch of eleven year olds showed up wanting a room. Even worse when we couldn't explain who our parents were. Ugh, the whole thing was just stupid.

We finally got settled in a large room in the inn. It was a comfortable space and would suffice until we were able to make it to Hogwarts.

At the moment we were all sprawled out in the living room area. Harry and Ron took up the couch laying out and complaining about having to go through all of the classes again. They both sat up as they realized that Snape would be there after a weird cure thing people had used on him.

Ginny was sitting in the window sill, looking out on the bustling streets of Diagon Alley. She looked almost wistful as she watched everyone moving about.

Neville and Luna were in arm chairs that were right next to each other. Luna was reading a magazine upside down and smiling. Neville was just staring off into space. I guessed he was thinking of this as a second chance to actually not be known as the nervous, cowardly Gryffindor.

I myself was sitting in a chair I had pulled up from the kitchen. I finally got up the courage to start the conversation we were all debating how to start. "What are our back stories if someone asks, and we should probably come up with different names for each other."

"I could go by Georgina," Ginny suggested, "I could be from a muggleborn family and Ron could be my brother. We all could say we went to school together and that's how we know each other."

Neville went next. "I think I'll go by Nathaniel. I'll be half blood. My moms the witch, and my dads muggle."

"I'll go as Hazel," I offer, "I'll be muggleborn as well."

"I'm Ginny's brother, Ren," Ron said.

"How creative," I teased.

"You're the one that left us to the name choosing Hazel."

"Stop it you two," Ginny intervened. "And his full name is Renaldo and we use it when we're annoyed with you."

"I'm Lilly, half-blood. Mothers muggle, Father is a wizard," Luna said, continuing the topic we started on.

"And I'm Henry. Muggleborn." Harry finished.

"All settled then. Let's head to Madame Malkins and get robes." I said.

We all got up and headed out into the busy streets.

Madame Malkins was only a short walk from the inn. The bell rang as we opened the door and became her first customers for the day.

Madame Malkins turned a corner and smiled at us. She asked us, "Now what can I help you with today?"

Since I was the most sensible out of all of us, I decided to answer before anyone else did. "Yes we're here for first year robes."

"Well then, how about you girls have a seat over there and wait a second while I get these boys situated."

Us girls went and sat on some comfy sofas and chatted about what we were looking forward to this year at Hogwarts.

"I'm ready to see Professor McGonagall again. I wonder if she'll be any nicer to us now that we've already taken the course," Ginny said, shifting slightly in her chair to block the glare of the sun in her eye.

"I want to see the look on Snape's face when he sees that he has to teach the boys again," Luna laughed as she pulled a magazine out and began to look through it.

"I'm just ready to truly master everything," I joined like the true nerd I am that wasn't all I was excited for though. Rumor had it that there were some American exchange students this year. I wanted to know all about them.

Madame Malkins called us back and the boys and us traded positions.

We were all silent as we were fitted. Madame Malkin talked our ears off, but she never asked us questions. I was fine with that.

We paid and exited the shop quickly before the boys could do something stupid.
