Jason's POV

We were following Ron to flying class when I decided to go see what this class was about.

"So," I started, "What do we do in flying class?"

Ron grinned and went into great detail about an amazing game called quidditch that was played on flying brooms. I couldn't wait to play. We talked about it all the way to the quidditch pitch, getting glares from Harry the whole way, but his glares were not that scary, not after everything that we went through.

We made it to the training grounds and Harry stood triumphantly above a dirty looking broomstick. I almost laughed at the patheticness of it all. Thalia was standing over one looking nervous about the whole thing. Nico did too. I guess Harry saw that as weakness and come over to us.

"So, to scared to fly on a broom I see. Guess you aren't as powerful as you act," Harry said. Thalia glared at him and he stepped back, but he wasn't as smart as he wanted to seem cause he stayed near us. Nico was also glaring at Harry, but Harry didn't seem to notice.

"They just have bad memories from in the sky," Leo said, trying to back them up. "Nico's mother died in a plane crash, and Thalia got into a plane crash when she was younger. You'd be scared of flying to if that had happened to you," All the demigods knew this wasn't true, but Nico's mom had be shocked by lightning and Thalia had crashed the sun chariot so I guess the stories weren't totally fake.

"Well, my parents died to Voldemort and I wasn't afraid of him," Harry said.

"That's not true. You were scared, you just did the right thing in the end," Nico said coldly. He looked like he might punch Harry then so I stepped in.

"How about we just go? If we are in your almighty way, then maybe we should leave," I tried, but Harry was persistent, following us to the Slytherin side of the field and back before we stopped and turned to face him. "Do you need something?" I asked, annoyed finally that he didn't seem to get the fact that we wanted him to leave.

"Yeah, for you to understand that I'm better than you," Harry said.

Thalia retorted, "In your dreams, Potter," That's when Madame Hooch came up.

"Alright class," She started, "Everyone go stand by a broom."

Thalia and Nico paled considerably and Harry went back to his broom grinning. Madame Hooch then turned to Nico and Thalia, "You have to participate today, but if I get a note from a guardian then you may sit out." Thalia and Nico looked relieved and their faces began to receive some color.

"Everyone step up to your broom and say up. Once you have done that drop it and do the same thing again. If you get it 5 times in a row, you can be finished and talk to your neighbors quietly," She finished her instructions and everyone stepped up to their brooms. Harry seemed a bit smug, and I then knew that we would probably never be friends.

I looked down at my broom and almost laughed. This seemed stupid and way to easy. I then said, "Up," like half the class had done and my broom went flying up into my hand. I dropped it and did the same thing four more times then set my broom back on the ground.

Thalia's had finished as well and was talking to the Slytherin girl next to her. Leo was struggling slightly, but from the look on his face he had at least done it once. Nico on the other hand was sat on the grass staring at the broom in disbelief. He had a big bruise on his forehead and looked like he might punch someone.

Madame Hooch walked around giving tips to the other kids who were struggling and Leo finished and came over to me.

"That was pretty easy, hope the rest of the day is that simple." He was grinning from ear to ear until we heard the voice we had grown to dread to hear.

"You gave up that easily just cause the broom hit you in the face," Harry taunted, standing in front of Nico.

"Leave him alone, Harry," Ron argued, trying to get Harry to back off, but Harry wouldn't.

"He's scared. It's pathetic," Harry grumbled.

"Go away, Potter. No one wants you here," Thalia jumped in, having heard the conversation and coming to defend her cousin.

"Ohhh, other scaredy coming to defend her friend," Harry began taunting Thalia and didn't notice Nico's hand curl up into fists. I ran over with Leo to help them when Nico lost it.

"Go Away," Nico said, his voice held no question, but a command. A small crevice appeared at Harry's feet and Harry kept looking. Leo pushed Harry away as Thalia tried to calm Nico down. I ran to Ron muttered, "thank you." and went to try and help Thalia.

Once Nico had calmed down, we headed to our next class, Potions.
