Ollivanders Wand Shop

Hazel's POV

After going to Nico and I's vaults, the eleven of us found all of our school supplies, minus a wand. We were headed to a wand shop following Frank. We turned a corner and spotted a black shop that looked like it had been standing for at least a hundred years.

Frank pushed open the door and a tiny bell went off. He gestured for us to join him and we all squeezed into the tiny space. Will was the first to say anything. "Hello, we're here for our wands."

Just then a man that with white, balding hair. He looked tall and lanky, but so far every wizard looked kind of like that. He grinned at us and came hustling over.

Unexpectedly he kneeled in front of Percy than stood and moved behind his counter as if nothing had happened.

"What was that for?" Percy asked.

"Percy Jackson it is wonderful to finally meet you. I'm Ollivander. I'm a son of Athena, but my father was a wizard so I never got to fully see camp. I'm kept updated by Chiron through a letter." The guy, Ollivander said. "How about we start with you, Miss. Thalia?"

Thalia stepped forward and tried out 2 wands before finding one that matched her. The 3rd wand shot tiny sparks of electricity from the top and Ollivander said, "Holly wood, thestral hair core, 10 ½ inches, sturdy. Very interesting indeed." Thalia just nodded, paid for her wand and sat at the back of the shop.

Jason stepped forward next. He tried 3 wands before his 4th shot out a warm gust of air, "Holly wood, phoenix feather core, 7 ½ inches, slightly flexible. Quite like another wand, I sold just seven years ago. Not the exact same mind you," Ollivander rambled. Jason just paid and took a seat next to Thalia.

Piper went next. It only took her 1 try before she found the right match. Her wand was cherry wood, veela hair core, 12 inches, slightly springy.

I was next. I took 5 tries before I found the perfect wand. It was vine wood, phoenix feather core, 8 inches, flexible.

Frank went after me. He took 7 tries before finding the right one. His was vine wood, unicorn tail core, 13 inches, sturdy.

Nico was next. He took 12 tries before finding the right wand. At this rate, we would be here all day. Thalia and Jason were becoming impatient. Nico's wand was made of elder wood, veela hair core, 9 ½ inches, slightly sturdy.

Will took 4 tries and his wand was cherry wood, thestral hair core, 11 inches, flexible.

Leo jumped up and took 8 tries to get the perfect wand. His ended out as a vine wood, thestral hair core, 10 ½ inches, sturdy.

Calypso showed us all up by receiving a wand on the first try. Hers was made of willow wood, veela hair core, 9 inches, slightly flexible.

Annabeth went through 20 wands before finding the perfect match. Her wand was holly wood, dragon heartstring core, 12 ½ inches, slightly sturdy.

Percy went last going through an astounding 30 wands before finally finding the perfect match. His was holly wood, veela hair core, 10 ½ inches, sturdy. We finally left the shop and headed back to the Leaky Cauldron.

We ate dinner and finally, we were off to bed. Frank and I took turns using the bathroom to change. Then we cuddled up in bed and I am pleased to say, fell into a dreamless sleep.
