Yenai's POV

I fiddled with my charm bracelet and bit at the skin in my lip. The ultimate sign that I was nervous about something. My dad used to lecture me about biting my lip, he'd tell me no boys would ever want to kiss me if I continued. Who says that-

"Hello? Earth to Yenai," my friend Raina waved her hand in my face. I snapped back into reality and looked at her.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" I asked. She was holding the last of my moving boxes.

"Where did want this one?" She groaned. "It's labeled bedroom."

"Gee, I don't know," I gasped sarcastically. "Where could a box labeled bedroom POSSIBLY go? I wonder..."

"Bitch, you can most definitely do this yaself with that attitude," she rolled hers eyes walking into the bedroom.

"Hoe, I did do this myself. You were 5 hours late!" I shouted down the hall. I just signed a lease for a one bedroom apartment and I was gonna be living on my own which, frankly, scared the shit outta me. Raina came back from the bedroom and dramatically dusted off her hands.

"There. You're officially moved in." She sighed and threw her arms around you. "Imma miss you bitch. You ain't gotta move out ya know."

"I love how ya dumbass says that after I move into a new place," I laughed. "But imma miss you too. I'm not finna miss the late night booty calls and constant moaning coming from your room at ever hour of the night but I'll miss us."

"Aww, Boo!" She smushed my cheeks and kissed me on the lips, a habit of hers. She's not gay or anything, just annoyingly affectionate. "We need to celebrate! New place means new budman. Every building has one. Let's go find yours!"

"Can't I have a moment to settle in?" I rolled my eyes. "I don't want my crib smelling like bud just yet! And we're going out later, isn't that celebration enough?"

"Fine. Have a moment and take it all in."

I took a deep breath and looked around. Not 10 seconds go by when Raina grabs my arm and opens the door.

"Moment over!" She insisted and yanked me out the door.

"So what's your plan? To knock on each door until we find a dealer?" I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, pretty much," she shrugged knocking on the door across from mine. A white man in his late thirties answered, looking me up and down seductively.

"Why, hello," he smiled. "What can I do for you fine ladies today?" He was staring hard at my cleavage coming out of my tank top, so I folded my arms across my chest.

"Green?" Is all that Raina said, confusing the man.

"I'm sorry, what?" He asked.

"Thanks you're not the person we're looking for, byyyyyeeeee-"

"Who is it Frank?!" A voice called from in his apartment.

"Some young ladies! Something about the color green!" He shouted back. A few seconds later, a woman appeared next to him with a toddler on her hip.

"Sorry to bother you, we'll just be leaving now," I apologized trying to drag Raina along. The man winked at me —gag— and walked back into the apartment. As his wife closed the door she looked behind her before turning back to us.

"If you're looking for green, go to the 12th floor," she whispered. "Apartment 12F. Ask for E."

"Thanks sis!" Raina smiled and dragged me to the elevator. We got off at 12 but as we approached 12F, someone came out.
