Yenai's POV
I sat silently as Erik stitched up my hand. No words were exchanged from the ride over to his condo and no words were being spoken now. I had showered and gotten rid of my blood stained clothes and even then, I couldn't speak. I felt Erik looking at me but I didn't look back. I couldn't.
"You not gon say anything?" He finally spoke up.
"What's there to say?" I whispered.
"I don't know but say something to me, Yenai! Tell me what you're thinking, how you're feeling, something!" He pleaded.
"...I have nothing to say..." I whispered. Erik sighed and finished stitching my hand, before spraying it and wrapping it in a bandage.
"I'm done with your hand so you can-"
"When you said you killed people... I thought you meant while you were a SEAL," I spoke up, finally looking at him. "I didn't know you still did..." Erik rubbed his hands together. "How many more people have you killed outside of war Erik?"
"A lot, Yenai," he told me. "But last night, I asked if you were scared of me... Has your answer changed?"
"Yes," I quivered without hesitation. He took a deep breath.
"I asked you another question right after... Has your answer to that changed?" He asked looking at the wall. Tears started to fall.
"I don't know," I cried. "I'm scared, Erik. I'm scared of you. What if I said yes and you... You-"
"You think I would kill you, Yenai?" He hissed looking me in my eyes. His eyes were so intense that I actually shuddered.
"I shouldn't have said anything-"
"No, answer my question!" He barked. "Do you really think I would kill you?"
"...I don't know," I whispered. Erik shook his head and got up. He cleared off the supplies on table, washed his hands and headed for his room. When he walked past me, I reached for his hand. "Erik-" He snatched his arm away.
"Don't fucking touch me." He hissed and retreated into his bedroom. Once I heard the door slam and lock, I started sobbing. I didn't know what to do. There was nowhere for me to go. I definitely can't talk to the twins about this, there was no way in hell I was ever going back to that apartment, and I have no other friends... I was stuck here.
Erik's POV
I laid in my bed, staring up at the ceiling. How the fuck could she think I would ever hurt her? I mean, shit! This girl is the most important person in my life right now. I also don't know what she wants from me. To go back in time and unkill Jon? Jesus, my head hurts. I don't want to think about this anymore.
I rolled to my side and looked at my clock. It was 6:43. I'd been laying here for almost 3 hours. Might as well order food. I assumed Yenai would've left by now but when I walked into the living room, she was still at the, in the exact same position I left her in.
"I thought you would've been left," I mumbled opening the fridge.
"I can't move," she whispered. "Besides, I have nowhere to go..." I grabbed a protein shake and cracked it open, not responding to what she said. "I'm sorry for what I said... I'm just scared."
