People deal with loss in so many different ways. Some people deny it, some people accept it. Most people cry, others don't. Some people get angry and some people are happy that they are resting in peace. But because certain people deal with certain loss in a certain way doesn't mean they aren't grieving.

Behind every pair of eyes are a life full of stories, and this particular story is about a 17 year old girl and how she deals with the pain of loss.

Alexandria Elric's simple life whirlpools into a trainwreck when she learns the devistating truth about her father. Diagnosed with lung cancer. Her world is torn apart and if it weren't for her family keeping her sanity, she'd of lost it a long time ago.

But when her father makes the wish to spend the remaining time of what he has left in their hometown, Perriton, is like asking Alexandria to face the people and the things she ran from in an attempt to avoid it at all costs.

Spending the last summer together as a family also comes with responsibilities. Alexandria accidently bumps into her a-long-time-ago best friend, Paige Emmens who is still caught up in the 6-year-betrayal, and when she discovers Jonah Turow, her first love is her next door neighbour, she can't help but feel like the world is spinning on it's axis and she's going to fall off and land in no where.

Rumors surface upon her arrival and she's the new gossip in the small town that's perched on the sidelines of a lake. Old wounds are opened, new friendships are established and memories are brought back to life. Things are already hard as it is but once again, this is the story about forgiveness, loss, loyalty and love.

So this story has been brewing in my head for almost a year now and I'm super excited to write this x One thing I want to point out is that my main character is poc (people of color) and wattpad is seriously lacking this and I wish to change this. Also, my main character (Alexandria) is not a reflection of me, the only thing we share in common is loss. Alright so thanks for reading! :)
