"My babe, my bitch and my best friend has arrived!"
That was what greeted me as I rode into the school parking lot. A 5'5" bundle of crazy vaulted into the passenger seat of my car, and a sheet of sleek auburn hair temporarily obscured my vision until a pair of clear blue eyes met my own.
Let me introduce my best friend since middle school, Aurora Wilson. She is hot and she knows it. But unlike the moderately attractive hoes at our school she's friendly, absolutely crazy and incredibly hyper (God forbid she gets a hold of sugar). I'm basically the same except not quite as hyper and I can be level-headed and serious should the situation call for it. That must be why we're friends.
"Did you really have to scream that loud enough for the entire student population to hear?" I asked rolling my eyes. But I couldn't stop the affectionate smile that adorned my face.
"Well of course I did! Did you know how much I missed you! I haven't seen you in forever!" she exclaimed.
I laughed and said, "We saw each other on Friday to do some back to school shopping." As you can probably tell, she's a little bit melodramatic. But I guess it's understandable seeing as she's taking drama and she's in drama club.
She let out a dramatic sigh and put a hand to her chest and exclaimed, "and here I was thinking you loved me!"
Yupp, definitely crazy.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled while pressing the button to raise the hood of my car.
I got out smoothly and shut the door and came face to face, well chest, with someone standing next to my car. I looked up to meet the hazel eyes of my other best friend Jayden Adams. And let me tell you, his eyes were beautiful! His eyes were probably the first thing I noticed when I first met him. They were why we even got talking.
It's kind of a funny story actually.
Flashback - First day of Freshman Year
I strolled into the library and sat down at a table with an available seat which was only occupied by a boy who looked like he was a Freshman like me. I took a moment to study him. He was undeniably attractive. He had lean muscles which were obvious enough that you could see the outlines of them under his form-fitting shirt but were not so big that he looked like a steroid junkie. He had floppy honey blonde hair that reached just past his eyebrows and he had a really nice tan. He looked up briefly, probably feeling uncomfortable with my appraisal, and that was when I caught my first glimpse of his eyes. They were a beautiful hazel with flecks of gold and framed by the thickest and longest eyelashes that I'd ever seen in my life. They were eyelashes any girl would kill for! And being the impulsive girl I am, who doesn't think about what I'm doing/saying before I do/say it, I blurted out, "you have the most beautiful eyes". He looked completely surprised by my sudden outburst but as soon as my words register his cheeks took on a pink tinge and it was the most adorable thing I'd ever seen.
"Aww, you're so cute! I'm Gemini by the way but everyone just calls me Gem." I extended my hand.
"I'm Jayden, some people call me Jay. And you're cute too." he replied with a sweet smile as he took my hand and shook it.
"It's nice to meet you Jayden!" I said beaming, "I'm going to head off to lunch now though because my friend's waiting for me but you're definitely welcome to join us. So what do you say?"
"Sure! I'd love to," he replied.
And that was that. After that he became my best friend along with Aurora.
End Flashback
"Buttons!" I squealed as I jumped on him. I hugged him tightly with my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. I chose Buttons as his nickname because he is the best friend of Cinderella in the pantomime and seeing as he's my best friend I thought it was incredibly fitting.
