We all said our salam and left from Sheikh mansion to the Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport.
Shabaz had already booked our tickets with him and his mom. So dad had to agree with him, or else we would have travelled on the train and it takes nearly 24 hours. I am glad, I will reach soon and I literally hate travelling too long on the train.
We all boarded a flight, and I sat on the window side which I luckily got. Meanwhile, my parents and Safiya aunt sat behind my seat.
Sitting near the window and viewing out, I just reminisced the previous days in Abdullah uncles home and I was so engrossed in thoughts that I didn't even realise that someone sat beside me.
I heard the announcement, reminding us to wear seat belts before takeoff. This is my first time travelling in flight, so I am kind of scared for the takeoff.
"Calm down, there is nothing to fear. Just close your eyes and think something else." sensing my fear, the one sitting beside me told and then it hit me, it's none other than Shabaz Ahmed.
My gaze lowered when I recognised his voice. Out of all the people, why he has to sit beside me? And why is my heart making me go mad when he is around? I was so engrossed in my thoughts, I didn't even realise the flight took off and all thanks to him.
"Jazakallah Khair"I thanked him after a few minutes when I comfortably sat.
Half of my journey is gone looking outside views and I didn't dare to turn another side of the seat. And rest of the journey went in sleeping.
After almost 2 hours, the flight landed to Bangalore international airport. Dad was about to call a cab, but Shabaz told dad that his car will be here in a few minutes so he will drop us home.
"So sweet of him" my heart fluttered.
His car came within a few minutes as he told, and his driver took straight to my home.
"Jazakallah Khai shabaz" my dad and mom both thanked him.
We three bid bye to Shabaz and Safiya aunt and entered my home after a week.
I directly ran to my room and threw my bag. I quickly messaged Noorie that I reached home safely.
That night, after praying isha, I went to sleep but sleep is nowhere and my heart is acting crazy since the haldi day of Sarah.
"Maryam, this is wrong. Don't think of him". My mind reminded me.
"Maryam, you didn't do wrong. Let's see where it takes you." My heart defended.
After the battle between my mind and heart, I slept thinking of attending the college day after tomorrow.
Noor's POV
"And I came to college and met my idiot best friend," Maryam said after finishing her little tale.
I am awestruck listening to her side of the story.
"Ahem ahem, so someone is dreaming of someone" I made fun of her and saw her blushing which made me laugh more.
"So cute, you look cute when you blush," I told her and she looked straight into my eyes, raising her eyebrows.
"Noorie, is it you? Oh, Allah. Is today a Blue Moon day?" she sarcastically questioned me because we both never praise each other. Then what are best friends for? to insult each other.
We both went back to class, as there is one more hour to attend. While entering the class, we both encountered the most annoying creature, Fazil.
"Hey, Noor, How are you?" he asked me and I walked straight inside the class.
"Get lost, you idiot" I heard Maryam shouting at him which made me laugh.
"Noorie, I am fed of saying get lost an idiot. He will never change." Maryam complained about him and I hate him since the first day of college he irritates me, I never spoke to him nor shouted but my best friend is enough to fight. Sometimes Fazil comes near me to speak when Maryam is not around, but I just run away from him lowering my face or sometimes, out of nowhere Maryam would appear to yell at him.
"Only a few months are remaining, after that, he will be out of our sight," I told her and plus comforting myself.
We all stood to greet, Smitha ma'am when she entered the class. Only her class we all enjoy a bit. Ma'am asked about our vacation and our well beings. Later she started to take the class.
Maryam started to irritate Ann, the one sitting in front of us. She started to pull her hair, sometimes my best friend just act like a child.
I love being around Maryam, she is all that I need and the same goes to her. we both don't have a sister by blood, but by heart we both are sisters."Noorie, come let's go home" Maryam pulled me out after the class. She does this all time, she doesn't like sitting inside the class after the bell, she just wants to run home.
"Yeah, coming, let me wear my abaya properly," I told her wearing my abaya and pinning my hijab correctly.
We both stepped out of the college gate, luckily we got the bus very soon. Our home is in the same root, so we both go by the same bus but Maryam's stops come first then mine.
We both speak non stop till Maryam get down from the bus and after that, I either be silent or keep on thinking something till I reach my place.
"Assalam Alaikum mom" I entered inside my home and greeted my mom and I saw my brother who is busy watching football on TV.
"Wa Alaikum Salaam Noor"
"Go freshen up and come down to have tea and snacks," she told me while going inside the kitchen to prepare tea.
"Yeah, go take shower. You stink already and I can't bear that." my brother told making my face to go all red, he always annoys me and I hate that.
"I stink and you can't bear that right? Then I will sit here with you until you can bear."I said going and sitting beside him to make him irritated.
"Oh, Allah, she is mad. You go, idiot. You still stink more." he again irritates me and I wanted to punch his face but he is saved because mom interfered.
"Noor, why do you always fight with him? You are grown up, so behave properly" she shouting that too because of him, I went upstairs glaring at him while he was laughing.
I took a deep shower and did wudu, prayed Asar and went downstairs to have tea and snacks.
Mom already prepared tea and kept it in the table. I and Asif started to drink tea. Meanwhile, dad came home from the office, greeting us and he sat beside me to drink tea and mom poured a glass of tea for him.
"So there is good news," Dad told us while sipping his tea and we three looked up at him raising our eyebrows.
"Bilal is coming this week".
Assalam Alaikum!
I hope you all liked it!
