Today I slept more as I didn't have to wake up for Fajr prayer because I am on my periods.
After doing all my morning routine I went downstairs, and like always being late for breakfast. Today dad is also there, he didn't go to the office early.
Silently we all started to have our breakfast, but bhai broke the silence.
"Dad today I am going out with Shahad, so I won't be able to come to the office," he said to dad hoping he allows it.
"Okay son, take care"
After breakfast dad left to the office, and I went back to my room to get ready for the college, today I have to go by bus because bhai have to go somewhere.
The doorbell rang breaking my thought, mom shouted from the kitchen to open the door to see who is it.
I am already in my abaya with hijab, so I went to open and I saw Shahad there, lowering my gaze I opened the door fully to welcome him inside.
He asked about bhai, and I told I will call him.
Mom asked me who it is, she is busy in her work and asked me to give coffee to Shahad.
I gave him coffee, but I felt like he is watching me out, I felt uncomfortable under his gaze.
I thought to leave but not before he muttering Astaghfirullah.
By the time bhai came fully dressed and ready to go, meanwhile, I said salam to mom and about to leave to college not before bhai called me from behind.
"Noor, I will drop you, we are going in the same root" I wanted to refuse because someone else is there but didn't want to insult bhai in front of his best friend, so chose to obey him.
I sat behind, and I was feeling uncomfortable because of his gaze from the rearview mirror.
Why this guy is smiling and staring at me in the rearview mirror?
I ignored him and looked out, and I saw the college gate, Alhamdulillah!
It was an awkward journey so far.
Shahad's POV:
I asked bhai to drop me to Bilal's home, we both planned to go out.
He dropped me in front of my buddy's home and told me to take care.
I rang the bell, and Bilal's sister opened door lowering her gaze, I smiled,
I sat inside, and waiting for my stupid friend, meanwhile, she bought me a cup of coffee, and for the first time, I saw her clearly. MashaAllah.
I muttered Astaghfirullah for staring her like that, and she left from there.
Bilal came fully dressed, I shouted at him for taking time, and I saw her going out of the home. But Bilal called her from behind and told, he will drop her to the college.
She sat behind us, and Bilal drove ahead and I saw her from the rear view mirror, she too noticed me staring at her. I could sense she is uncomfortable.
The car came to an halt, saying salam she walked forward to the college gate.
We both drove to our destination, we had a few pending works to do and also met a few of our old friends.
After having lunch in one of the restaurants in the town, we went to the beach.
"Bilal, what's your next plan?"
"Dad already inform me to take over his business ahead"
"Wow, it's great news"
"Yeah, but I want little time"
"Before that, I want to find a perfect guy for my baby sister," Bilal told me, thinking about his sister and I could see his eyes shining while talking about his sister. I miss Sana so badly.
"Oh, but what about her studies?"
"She has almost six months to finish her studies"
I mentally noted everything and smiled at him. We both came back, he dropped me at my home and he drove back to his place.
I directly went up to my room, after freshening up, I laid down and my thoughts drifted back to today.
And I ran downstairs near mom,
"Mom, Mom, where are you?"
"Why are you shouting, I am here in the kitchen preparing dinner" mom shouted back.
"Today many things happened mom, ask me what it is" going inside I told her and I love to share everything with her.
"Yeah, what it is my son," she asked me smilingly, I hugged her and sat in the kitchen cabinet.
"I found a girl, mom" I proudly said looking at her.
"What?" She choked and stared at me.
"You forgot that you have a big brother?" She questioned glaring at me.
"what are you talking, mom"
"What I meant is, I found a girl for bhai"
