~The Next Day~

I'm still struggling to grasp the understanding of my actions and feelings towards the fatherly figure. I tried ignoring him, thinking that... that may get rid of It. Like I've said before... Feelings are the bane of my existence. Most of the day I didn't talk to Patton. I didn't eat the breakfast, lunch, or dinner he made for us.Then came movie night, which I totally forgot about. I was in my room, sitting in my spinny chair, reading a book. As i went to turn the page, there was a knock at my door, which cause me to jump a bit. 'Why did that scare me?' I thought as I got up, closing my book and setting it down. I walked to the door and opened it, and to my surprise it was Patton. Patton looked on the verge of tears. "Yes Pat?" I raised an eyebrow trying to hide me emotions. "Are you coming to movie night?" He cocked his head giving a sorta sad smile. "Ah shoot. I totally forgot, but i already have plans tonight... reading.... Books. Goodnight." I said then tried to close the door, but a foot stopped me. Patton opened my door again, "Lo? Are you mad at me?" "What n--" "You'd think I'm too dumb to notice... that you've been ignoring me all day, didn't you?" I could see the tears welling up in his eyes. "Patton, I don't hate you. Calm down." I put a hand up, dismissing the question. "Then why are you ignoring me? You seem to be talking to Virgil, Roman, and Thomas just fine." I pulled him into a hug, "I don't hate you Pat. I've just been really busy." 'Lie.' I thought as I released him from the hug and wiped away his tears. Patton nodded, "I'll let you get back to your work then." I could tell he was still a bit upset even as he put on a smile. He walked away as I closed my door.
