Chapter 8

So this is what I imagine Draco looks like in my world of Harry Potter so yeah...deal with it. Anyways another Draco's perspective because you wanted another one so okay...I'm not good at writing in the form of communication so yeah...love you all enjoy 💞

"Hey Granger," Draco managed to croak out as he sat next to her against the base of an old, surprisingly sturdy, Oak tree.

Hermione didn't look at him.

Her eyes, he noticed, seemed to be racing over the castle, the grounds, and even Weasley and Potter laughing with Weasley's girlfriend, Lacey, was it?

Hermione continued to inspect the group of students Weasel, Potter, and Lacey were traveling in.

Draco couldn't stand it any longer. Clearing his throat, loud, but politely, Draco fixed Hermione under his unwavering stare.

He noticed that she was chewing on her lip nervously. Just watching her do so sent shivers down Draco's spine.

Why do you have this much of an affect on me, Hermione Granger?

Unable to handle the cold shoulder she was giving him, Draco reached out and took her hand in his.

Almost immediately, Hermione jumped in surprise before snatching her hand back as if Draco had burned her.

Quick as a flash, Draco gripped her shoulders and turned Hermione's body to him.

He had a gentle, but firm grip, Draco didn't want to hurt her.

Draco didn't realize he was crying until Hermione brought her soft hand to his cheek and gingerly wiped away an escaped tear.

She left her hand there, cupping his cheek, still unable to meet his penetrating stare.

"Hermione please, Draco couldn't see through his welled up grey pools, "look at me."

The last part came at a hoarse whisper, but Hermione turned her eyes up to his as if she did hear him.

Hermione's chocolate brown eyes were slightly glassy, but no tear would escape her eye sockets. Hermione Granger never cried in front of anyone, it was an unspoken rule.

Draco remembered the first time he made her cry, and he hated himself everyday since.

He may have been a naive little spoiled twat, but that was no excuse to cover how he made her feel that day in second year, on that quidditch pitch.

Draco had made her feel worthless, invaluable, revolting.

And for that Draco knew he could never forgive himself, never be worthy of the far from perfect, lovely, wonderful specimen that was sitting before him with the grace of a queen, who didn't need some bloke to rule alongside her.

He was unworthy, but he wanted the lovely sight before him, and so much more.

He wanted a future, a family, a home.

Hermione wasn't just some one time fling to Draco.

She was everything, and he was nothing, not to himself, and not to her.

With this in mind, Draco didn't know why he said what he did next.

"Do you hate me?" He said it simply, for once he wanted to be frank with the witch he was in love with.

Hermione searched his eyes, she was looking for something. What, he didn't know. She kept her expression blank, her eyes giving nothing away.

"No, she began, "but I don't particularly fancy you either, you twat."

Draco's expression began to soften, he relaxed.

Chuckling, he released her from his strong grip.

"Just what every bloke wants to hear."

And with that Draco put on his guarded exterior for the first time in half a term, and stalked lazily in the direction of the castle.

Leaving a rather confused young witch behind.

Once again that was really bad 🤦 sorry...but I hoped those of you who are wonderful, pure souled, pure in heart people who don't care how crappy my writing is liked it...I tried to make it seem like that one moment in the diner after the party where Peter kinda gives Laura Jean the cold shoulder and leaves after she says she doesn't have a problem faking they're relationship because she knows it's not real...I just now realized I should've done something before this chapter but screw it I'm too tired to rewrite the entire chapter...thanks love you all 💞
